These sort of conspiracy theories rely on people having very little experience outside of their own bubble. Obama’s family was well-known in the community, they had business, education, and personal ties–neighbors, friends, colleagues. His birth was announced in the paper based off of hospital records. Neighbors knew them, teachers remembered him. HIs father was a graduate student in the city of Honolulu. How can so many people believe that this man was born thousands of miles away from the US? The answer is ignorance and, lets’ be honest, racism.
Okay, so while they’re making all of these fake documents & clipping videos, (since we now know about the birth certificate forgeries from Kenya) don’t they ask themselves, Aren’t we wrong for doing this crap? Maybe Obama isn’t the bad guy since we’re creating false evidence of him not being born where he was actually born?
I wonder if all “these people” who questioned president Obama’s birth certificate knew: 10 World Net Daily, an arch-conservative news website, used forgery experts to assess the president’s birth certificate and concluded it was real; 2) Ann Coulter lies, as usual, when she claims Hillary Clinton was the first person to question Obama’s place of birth. the Obama birth whispers were begun by oddball presidential candidate, Andy Martin and attorney Philip Berg, who was a staunch H. Clinton supporter, and; 3) and MOST IMPORTANTLY, of the two candidates who were chosen by their parties to run for president in 2004, Obama and John McCain, it was OBAMA who first produced his birth certificate (as do most modern candidates) and WILLINGLY did so. JOHN McCAIN resisted to calls for showing his birth certificate and was forced through media pressure to do so. The result? We found out that JOHN McCAIN WAS BORN IN —– PANAMA!!! Immediately, pro-democrat media types and bloggers jumped on McCain’s legitimacy, however, it was OBAMA who warned off the anti-McCain clowns and publicly said the run for president should be about the differences between the candidates and not their place of birth, and that McCain, through his service to the U.S. in war time, should never have his love for the U.S. questioned.
And while the cries for McCain to give up his candidacy died down, not-so-oddly, that is when the “Obama Birth Certificate” movement was born.
There are many reasons to criticize president Obama in his time in office, so far, but this “birther” stuff is just mindless and mostly racist, crap.
Jus’ hadta say, it never hurts to lend a critical ear to the soundtrack of anything purporting to be ‘documentary’. The best docos trust in the material and leave you to your own thoughts and feelings without sliding in manipulative textures and harmonies under the action (or buttering it — as per the more obviously gonzo genre — all over the top). His father was a British national, so he is not a natural born citizen.
Further, even if his father was an American, Obama has dual cirtizenship because of his residence in Indonesia. Dual citizens can’t be president, although he sure seems love having them in his administration (Rahm Emmanuel, Zeke Emmanuel, Valerie Jarrett).
