A Virus Called Fear

Fear is apparently a universal emotion; all persons, consciously or unconsciously, have fear in some sort.
In short, fear is the ability to recognize danger leading to an urge to confront it or flee from it.
Very few people understand the programming of fear, and why it distorts our perceptions.

While fear is a program used for our survival, fear also creates irrational beliefs that cause larger systems of fear like politics, religion and the media.

A Virus Called Fear is short film about the conditioning of fear, and what irrational fears can lead to. Written and directed by Ben Fama Jr.

  1. It’s good to see they understand why we have violent felons and crime finally. Of course it’s not possible to criticize the terrible upbringing children go through if it appears critical of preferred groups.

  2. A tad cheesy, yet an overall good documentary.

  3. Pretty good for a 20 minute one!
(+ the part with the maniac-pigeons was good (: )

  4. A monkey could make a better documentary. Douchebag

  5. The editing is so bad. Shocking

  6. some interesting stuff . the style of the doc is tacky and really gives the whole science of the topic a gimmiky feel. That said a lot of the facts here are worth the thinking over. Because the the topic is based on science, psychology so as standard  R.dorkins does a bit of Religion bashing as always , which is why the score is a bit ow on this im guessing. In my opinion they cover a few different schools of thinking here and is worth the 20 something minutes of your time

  7. no one is born with an inate sense of fear of people. they got a bit confused.

  8. As far as Christianity based religion: If a traffic light at an intersection is considered to cause ‘fear’ to the car driver, and that’s why he stops at the red light, then Religion could be mis-understood as, perse, fear causing. Those who do not see the truth about Christian religion, and those who oppose it, misinterpret it…. for fear of truth! (However fear of truth is a perversion of fear, and serves against the original intent of fear). As far as Christian religion, organized religion, it is exactly like a red light at an intersection, it wants to protect. Fear understood in the right context, protects. Fear is implanted into man by an intelligent designer / creator … not fear for fear sakes .. but to protect.
