Alfred Hitchcock: Living Famously

Alfred Hitchcock is probably the most famous director in film history, he made his name and his fortune from scaring millions out of their wits, but his films were more than just entertainment, he put his own deepest fears onto the silver screen.

In this BBC special we get a glimpse into the life of Hitchcock. We see how as a child he grew up in the suburbs of London as somewhat of a loner, how he developed an imagination which would help open doors for him as he got an apprenticeship in the fledgling British movie business and ultimately broke through in America, becoming the legend he is today.
