“Director Davis Guggenheim eloquently weaves the science of global warming with Mr. Gore’s personal history and lifelong commitment to reversing the effects of global climate change. A longtime advocate for the environment, Gore presents a wide array of facts and information in a thoughtful and compelling way. “Al Gore strips his presentations of politics, laying out the facts for the audience to draw their own conclusions in a charming, funny and engaging style, and by the end has everyone on the edge of their seats, gripped by his haunting message,” said Guggenheim. An Inconvenient Truth is not a story of despair but rather a rallying cry to protect the one earth we all share. “It is now clear that we face a deepening global climate crisis that requires us to act boldly, quickly, and wisely,” said Gore”

First – the source here isn’t working anymore(“oops, video not available”) and could use an update.

Secondly – I just re-watched this(on ME) for the first time in 6 months or so and I had forgotten just how full of shit Al Gore can be, haha.

Here’s some real inconvenient truth from Nir J. Shaviv, associate professor at The Racah Institute of Physics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem:

On Climate Sensitivity and why it is probably small -

    http://www.sciencebits.com/OnClimateSensitivity

Carbon Dioxide or Solar Forcing? -

    http://www.sciencebits.com/CO2orSolar

“Like many others, I was personally sure that CO2 is the bad culprit in the story of global warming. But after carefully digging into the evidence, I realized that things are far more complicated than the story sold to us by many climate scientists or the stories regurgitated by the media. In fact, there is much more than meets the eye.”

    Cosmic Rays and Climate –

    http://www.sciencebits.com/CosmicRaysClimate

The Milky Way Galaxy’s Spiral Arms and Ice-Age Epochs and the Cosmic Ray Connection -

    http://www.sciencebits.com/ice-ages

Note that he does say 1/3 – 1/2 of climate change could be anthropogenic, or at least it is probably not related to this specific cosmic ray connection that he is focused on.

Whether that is due to his personal views or just politics in trying to have his work be more acceptable I don’t know, but regardless he makes it clear that AGW is not the main driver of climate and the Solar connections and other factors still unknown or poorly understood make all this doomsday AGW crap retardedly silly.

Also note that there are many other researchers out there that have been documenting these types of Solar connections to climate but most of them are what I would call ‘anti-environmentalists’ that I’m not a big fan of even while supporting their actual work, whereas Mr. Shaviv holds the same pro-environment view as I do and still stresses that we need to make changes to our current ways of living.

So he’s the only one I’m linking to from here but there is much other research out there, though some of the best stuff is not in the free public realm and may require paid subscriptions.

But searching abstracts of recent papers and many older research papers in full available through the SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System can yield some interesting results:

Also, Cornell University Lubrary has a great online resource:
