An Inconvenient Truth

“Director Davis Guggenheim eloquently weaves the science of global warming with Mr. Gore’s personal history and lifelong commitment to reversing the effects of global climate change. A longtime advocate for the environment, Gore presents a wide array of facts and information in a thoughtful and compelling way. “Al Gore strips his presentations of politics, laying out the facts for the audience to draw their own conclusions in a charming, funny and engaging style, and by the end has everyone on the edge of their seats, gripped by his haunting message,” said Guggenheim. An Inconvenient Truth is not a story of despair but rather a rallying cry to protect the one earth we all share. “It is now clear that we face a deepening global climate crisis that requires us to act boldly, quickly, and wisely,” said Gore”

  1. What a bunch of horse crap. I suggest you all go out and buy a range rover

  2. Al Gore is not to be trusted…

  3. Just a comment, the one thing that is bugging me more than anything in this whole documentary is… Antarctica has two ‘t’s in it. How can he gloss over both of them? It’s not Anardica. URGGGGGGGG. *english part of me dies multiple times* It’s just so frustratins, how can he say it so wrong?

  4. You guys are so ignorant, this is a very serious and real problem. Thanks to people like you the world its like that, cause you dont care. HEs been giving all his life to solve and save this planet. get some study and stop telling ignorances. Hes cares about his future, and the coming gerenerations future. yeah something you cant understand.

  5. here are my opinions: firstly al gore was clinton’s vice president, and we all know how much politicians lie and use effective words to get their points across, I am not saying he is lying but he is definitely emphasising on his point and as all politicians do ridiculing his sceptics/opposition throughout the documentary.
secondly, he uses dramatic features to get people on his side in believing him ie his son’s accident, yes its very sad however irrelevant or at least irrelevant at the point he exaggerates it, thirdly when he refers to Churchill he speaks about him as the prime minister of England, which tells me he is somewhat uneducated as Churchill was the prime minister of Britain, does Al Gore even know that Wales, and Scotland are apart of the British government or atleast during the 40s they were definitely. Also he talks about temperature increase and how it affects the planet and talks about the “hottest years” fails to mention that in the last 20 years we also had some of the “coldest years”
what I will give him is the CO2 increase, yes that does need to stop.

  6. an very convenient power point presentation about a man using corporate techniques to make himself and his parners incredibly rich on tax payers expense on a glabal scale

Advocating minimalist and subsistent lifestyles, I guess dear lears like Al Gore and the elites in the green movement has the divine right to enjoy fancy foods, private jets, huge estates and villas, private golf courses etc something they want to deny to the rest of us little useless eaters.

    Thanks for upload though

  7. FAKE

  8. First – the source here isn’t working anymore(“oops, video not available”) and could use an update.

Secondly – I just re-watched this(on ME) for the first time in 6 months or so and I had forgotten just how full of shit Al Gore can be, haha.

Here’s some real inconvenient truth from Nir J. Shaviv, associate professor at The Racah Institute of Physics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem:

    http://www.phys.huji.ac.il/

On Climate Sensitivity and why it is probably small –

    http://www.sciencebits.com/OnClimateSensitivity

Carbon Dioxide or Solar Forcing? –

    http://www.sciencebits.com/CO2orSolar

“Like many others, I was personally sure that CO2 is the bad culprit in the story of global warming. But after carefully digging into the evidence, I realized that things are far more complicated than the story sold to us by many climate scientists or the stories regurgitated by the media. In fact, there is much more than meets the eye.”

    Cosmic Rays and Climate –

    http://www.sciencebits.com/CosmicRaysClimate

The Milky Way Galaxy’s Spiral Arms and Ice-Age Epochs and the Cosmic Ray Connection –

    http://www.sciencebits.com/ice-ages

Note that he does say 1/3 – 1/2 of climate change could be anthropogenic, or at least it is probably not related to this specific cosmic ray connection that he is focused on.

Whether that is due to his personal views or just politics in trying to have his work be more acceptable I don’t know, but regardless he makes it clear that AGW is not the main driver of climate and the Solar connections and other factors still unknown or poorly understood make all this doomsday AGW crap retardedly silly.

Also note that there are many other researchers out there that have been documenting these types of Solar connections to climate but most of them are what I would call ‘anti-environmentalists’ that I’m not a big fan of even while supporting their actual work, whereas Mr. Shaviv holds the same pro-environment view as I do and still stresses that we need to make changes to our current ways of living.

So he’s the only one I’m linking to from here but there is much other research out there, though some of the best stuff is not in the free public realm and may require paid subscriptions.

But searching abstracts of recent papers and many older research papers in full available through the SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System can yield some interesting results:
