  1. While the care exhibited here is far from ideal, the real problem is that you get what you pay for. The care workers are barely making minimum wage, yet they are expected to deliver “skilled care” to numerous difficult dementia and physical disability cases. If you want skilled care, don’t hire a nurses aide. Don’t expect people who barely make enough to live on to love taking care of individuals who are belligerent, suffering urinary and fecal incontinence. Yes, they should choose a different line of work., but they really don’t have many options. They are hired at these facilities because they will dirty work for dirt poor wages. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. .

  2. Soppy nonsense. She should learn to use her call button, or maybe her relatives shouldn’t leave her in a bloody home!
I’s undignified to have to go to the toilet in your bed but it’s not undignified to have to be wheeled to the toilet?!! eh?
It’s the relatives who are to blame. If you don’t want to do the dirty work, shame on you!!

“Yonne dies in 2013 surrounded by the relatives she loved”. What, the ones who abandoned her to a home?!!

If I get to this stage, put me down!!

This is like hiring the cheapest labour and then being horrified at their living conditions – you only have yourself to blame!
