Cannabis: The Evil Weed

Cannabis is the world’s favourite drug, but also one of the least understood. Can cannabis cause schizophrenia? Is it addictive? Can it lead you on to harder drugs? Or is it simply a herb, an undervalued medicine?

Addiction specialist Dr John Marsden discovers that modern science is finally beginning to find answers to these questions. John traces the cannabis plants’ birthplace in Kazakhstan; finds the origins of our sensitivity to cannabis in the simple sea squirt; and finds out just what it does to our brains.

He meets people who have been changed by this drug in drastically different ways – from those whose lives have been shattered to those who lives have been revived.

  1.  I was pleasantly surprised at the unbiased approach of the host/narrator. That’s not to say his personal views didn’t come across in the video, but he did present information from both sides of the story and only looked at the cold facts. I must say – fairly refreshing.

  2. On the other hand my grandmother has been an alcoholic for 30 years and she has a huge chunk of her brain dead and has an alcohol induced liver disease. So meanwhile we have cigarettes and alcohol legal on the streets which people die from everyday. And we have this little plant called “cannabis” illegal? Its ridiculous.

  3. Instead of talking about cannibis. lets talk about alcohol… Alcohol eats at the brain. Alcohol hastens
dementia and many other different diagnosis’ of brain damage… I’ve been an every day pot smoker for 20 years and I have no problems with me. I use to be a very angry person until I smoked pot.

  4. Fucking Rats taking my stash!

  5. alcohol is a socially acceptable drug, yet can be a very destructive one, the cannibis plant serves a thousand different purposes from making sails for the british fleets when they first discovered its value to treating many alments. when someone is being loud obnoxious and violent is he DRUNK or smoking POT? we all know the answer people. Big bussiness dictates our laws whether we like it or not and it would be very bad for big bussiness if pot all the sudden became the #1 cash crop. lets stop with all the anti pot propaganda like it gives you physcosis and shit because the only way pot doees that is if u have a prior disposition to getting those mental illnesses, its time to move on out of the legislation shakles into an actual free world where no drug is illegal as this will all but eleminate really harmfull drugs like herion and crack and powered cocain, as the leaf itself is a powerful medicine. But around the world we continue to elect the rich cocksuckers that dont give a fuck about us and only care about their big bank acount and power hold on society, and of course some to thier secret societys like illuminati, skull and bones, bohemian grove ect ectt the list goes on.

  6. Marijuana is becoming more and more legal in each state, this is all propaganda.

  7. Who came up with this notion that schizophrenia is evil? I think branding schizophrenics in such a way is no less than that same descriptor. You’ll never know the beauty that a schizophrenic knows. Suffering has many faces, not just the one you want us to see.

  8. All addictions, including hashish addiction, require tender care, if the body is expected to return to a state of near normality. Support from family and friends, new pastimes that do not include hanging with the hashish crowd and a change in every day habits and routine all help to break the rituals and cycles of addiction.

  10. Its not a weed. Biochemically, its technically a fruit because of how the seed forms XD

  12. The Alcoholics are hypocrites. They run government and don’t want anyone else to have any other drug. The alcoholics bash, rape, steal and fight yet point to drugs like pot with a finger of condemnation. The alcoholics are doctors, lawyers, politicians in fact they infect all walks of life. Try and ban the alcoholics drug and all hell would be cut loose as it did in the 20s.
Every one knows alcohol and cigarettes are the worst drugs but the alcohol and the tobacco addicts infect all sectors of life and deflect the argument.
I don’t take any drug but view the alcoholic as a curse on society for their rampant and unabated hypocrisy. The war on drugs was started by Nixon because he hated blacks, Hispanics and hippies. The war on drugs is social war between the alcohol and tobacco addicts vs all the other drug users on philosophical grounds. I remember my father telling me not to take drugs whilst holding a beer and a cigarette. This is the hypocrisy of the alcoholic.

    • I totally second your speech.
However, if you ban alcohol and tobacco, this will only lead to a second prohibition era. That would be only good to reinforce organized crime.
I recommend you to watch documentaries about Systembolaget in Sweden.
Alcohol trade is strictly regulated, and yet Swedish people are among the first consumers of Europe.

      • That’s how the great sport of nascar was born. I love to see them try that stupid shit again, sorcerian.

      • If Alcohol is so strongly tied with our current society, it’s because it’s one the oldest drug known to mankind. It was very early associated as a social cement to tie links with strangers. Sumerians were already brewing beer, along with Egyptians.
Indeed, it’s all hypocrisy. When cops seize large amount of weed, they celebrate it with champagne. Oh the irony, don’t you think ?

  13. Its always good to get as much information as possible regarding cannabis and its effects. This is great!! :)))

  14. Why don’t people try it before making an opinion about it? Weed is harmlmess, this is experience talking…

    • I’m a weed consumer myself, but saying it’s 100% harmless is a lie.
When you smoke too much, you gotta deal with a lot of problems. Otherwise, I agree, with moderation it’s all good 🙂

  15. Hmm. This video has some valid points. However, much of the material is presented in a very biased manner.
The mice model is fairly uncomparable, considering the fact that they do not live in very enriched environments, and are not exposed to THC in enriched environments, which greatly determines the outcome of the cannabis experience. It’s like the difference between smoking weed and vegging out in front of the TV and going outside with friends and sharing many a good conversation.

As well, anti-psychotics will only suppress the symptoms of schizophrenia. They will never cure it. The boys parents ought to do a little more research on alternative non-drug treatments for schizophrenia, if they wish to improve their son’s life. He’ll never learn how to be happy and to overcome his condition if he’s constantly being dulled by some drug (that costs loads of money and provides the drug companies with infinite $$).

  16. This video is very legitimate from my point of view. I am an avid cannibis user and I know anyone who says it isn’t addictive at all is a fool; no drug isn’t addictive, your body adjusts to any substance. But that said, anyone unable to exercise moderation digs their own grave.

People should really stop being so chauvinistic with their view about drugs, unless you’re a doctor like the one in the video or the addiction expert narrator. In reality, all you probably know is propaganda unless you’ve researched it yourself. In reality, someone should have the right to do whatever they want to themselves and their body. It’s really none of anyone’s business who does or doesn’t, especially if they’re life is in order and they’re brain and body is healthy.

    • Its not addictive… at all…. I went from everyday to cold turkey for a drug test, if you can’t handle it you shouldn’t smoke it in the first place. It’s actually very mild, less addictive than alcohol.

    • You’re right.
Addiction isn’t physical with cannabis, unlike heroin for example. Nonetheless, there’s an existing psychological dependence. First step is the tolerance.
If you’re expecting too much to feel cannabis effects, you’ll be tempted to smoke some more, and thus you get the said tolerance to tiny doses.
That’s the reason why I never have more than two spliffs at the same time, per month.
I’m always feeling it like my very first day, with tiny doses. It’s all bliss ^^

  17. Drugs dont work. I have smoked cannbis for more than 20 years. Also I have tried all the hard drugs time to time. I think I have enjoyed most of the time. Its only a dream. It is so selfish. I have woken up after 25 years and I realised every thing went past by me. It only satisfied myself and my mind. Drugs only brings you short term happyness. When you are on drugs you dont see whats happening around you.
I have been clean for the last 5 years and I have done many things which can make me proud of.
I have stopped smoking also year ago. I feel the best in my life.
Drugs only for the people who cannot enjoy the reality.
Being mindful and face challenges everyday in life and help people the way you can, live the life which you are given not hiding from it brings you happyness.

    • i take inspiration from your story i have been on hard drugs for 15 years and its so bloody difficult to stop i started with hash i m still trying to stop and am plagued with guilt every time i relapse also your right drugs pleases only the user

    •  This is your story.
I think smoking pot helps me to be mindful, it’s all about the attitude you enter it with.
It’s certainly a different experience from person to person, so please don’t generalize by saying you messed up, and therefore it was the fault of marijuana.

I love my reality, I cherish every moment of it. Marijuana is simply one aspect of the beautiful reality in which I live.

      • sissy! i guess that true we find it in our own
self examination to what our body tells us what
to do or when we our body need something. But u could get paranoid
for anything life experience you in your Skills or encouragement
for your people.. if it’s a good thing just use it the right way
        when ya! body needs its….

    • why can you not do this on drugs? Perhaps it is a weaker mind who cannot control what they intake in moderation. A lot of modern foods, medicines and drinks are all harmful to the body in big doses but in moderation can be less harmful and in some cases harmless. It seems as though you were looking or expecting something to come out of drugs that wasn’t in reality as opposed to enjoying the experience in life to be able to take these drugs.

      • You hit the nail on he head. If you can’t stand th heat get outta the kitchen. Its the weaker minded people that screw it up for the rest of us.

    • It depends on how you look at it. Drugs can be tools, or they can be treated as drugs. In the former case, one can learn things through drug experience that can be integrated healthily into the every day life experience. Are you using them to have fun, to learn, or both? The line between use and abuse is fine, however, aren’t busy enough to use drugs responsibly and get caught up in endless cycles of addiction. If one has a life to be living, there simply isn’t time to do drugs and remain efficient. One can allocate their use to special occasions.

  18. If you check into a rehab saying that you are “addicted to weed” you will be laughed at.I know this because I have been to many, and not for weed. People don’t take it seriously because it shouldn’t be. Alcohol is WAY more of a problem than marijuana, weed just comes with a stigma that has developed from everybody who hasn’t tried it. REEFER MADNESS! Everyone who says “I have a friend whose life was ruined because he started smoking pot” is ignorant and naiive when it comes to the subject. Not trying to be an asshole, just blunt. I have put a lot of time into learning about addiction and I’d be willing to bet a pretty penny that YOU haven’t. You developed your opinions from stuff you read, things you hear and judgments you make. Not real life experience.

    • You are talking shit

It’s all well and good for someone who doesn’t have an addiction or problem with weed to say it gets an undeserved bad rep but many people do have problems with it, I know for a fact that it has caused me mental problems, what I cant tell is how much of the problem is attributed to weed alone

the same could be said of most drugs
Some people are fine with them and others have problems
It always bugs the shit out of me when people who don’t have problems spout on like they are an expert just because they have used the drug

  19. Watch this and make up your own mind. Having said that, the final point the host makes is rather broad and vague after all of his travels and investigations. Stating that one misses the opportunity to participate in life due to smoking. Does that mean all the people who watch TV, play video games, and go shopping for hours on end, while being completely sober, are positive contributors to society?

Personally, herb has had a profoundly positive affect on my own experience in life. Frankly, I get energized after smoking and want to go out and do something active like dancing salsa. The music moves through you and the connection you make with your dance partner is awesome!

    Just my two cents:)

    • I agree with Brent here. Whenever I ‘toke up’ I have a sudden yearning for adventure and new experiences. Most things are fun when high. I will never forget my first experience watching a sunset while high. Ephemeral as it may be, it will last me my life.

  20. So whats the conclusion from this?
-Don’t smoke skunk but smoke kush with appropriate amount of THC and CBD.

when are they going to have a device which can measure these components…

-Dont smoke before 15 year old (DUH!, maybe because most 15 yrs olds still dumb n still got lots to learn)
-Dont smoke juz to do something (u r smoking for a wrong reason, when u do something with a wrong mindset then u will have a confusion in ur own mind)

    Tips:
-smoke after u work hard! Relax with a trip-hop n acid jazz, relax ur back stretch, or exercise afterward that actually is good.
-smoke where u feel safe where no one tells u no or persuade u or catch u or judge u. Just by doing this u will start smoking with easiness in ur mind.

I used to think weed was addictive but no…it wasn’t i stop using it and i feel great but craving it. But the more I do my daily activities then the less I crave, its just like craving for sex. It depends with people intellectual.
I used to question religion, existence, marriage because of my family matters since a kid and always want to know the answer as more ambiguous answer people or my parents gave me. Its funny how I always reminded by a quote “problem arise when human enter into a society”. Greed does no good except delaying research conquest to find absolute truth.

It’s fine not to have a religion but still have moral and knowledge.
It’s fine not to be married but have someone u care and love
It’s fine not to know why u were born but do good things to change life (build free energy for everyone, make goods out of hemp, share ur knowledge to people who need it the most like in poor places where they need to be self-sufficient)

KEEP SMOKING! Blaze all day…dont let the world judge u. Do as u please as long as not hurting others!

  21. As for the young guy who turned “schizo”…his parents are way old… high maternal age is connected to various disorders in children they give birth to..

And the guy who “ruined his life”…seems to me, to be laughing sometimes… and if his story is true, it didn’t seem as if he ever had much potential doing anything…

Parts of this documentary were interesting.

I read the comments before I saw the documentary and thought you guys were just full of it.

But now I get it 🙂

  22. Check out Gabor Mate’s work on brain development and addiction. He contends – with decades of experience under the dungarees – that the environment we find ourselves in as babies determines our tendency to addict; the chemical/activity in question isn’t as much of a factor. And we DO addict to any and everything, by the by, so his is an interesting argument. It’s plainly ridiculous to suggest that my synaptic cleft is structured in precisely the same way as yours and that we will both addict to the same things. If that were the case, everyone on this Earth would be a junk-food eating, cocaine-snorting, beer-swilling, obsessive-shopping, surgical addict, you know..!

By the way, someone made an erroneous post about the dopamine system earlier in this thing: It is not the dopamine system but the endorphin system (natural opiates) that is responsible for feelings of reward – as well as feelings of connection with the universe and other people, etc. Endorphins also dampen pain – both physical and emotional.

Mate says that those who experienced trauma in childhood have under-developed brain circuits (dopamine, endorphin, adrenaline and impulse control circuits). To feel normal, therefore, to feel connected to the world, these people turn to external means to get the chemical flushes that most of us take for granted. It’s looking like this holy War On Drugs is in reality a war on people who were abused as young people.

And that will be the story of us. I guarantee this’ll be the line on Wikipedia 2.0 in a century’s time.!

As for cannabis. Shit. Name a problem that can’t be eased by a big fat skin of Po and I’ll eat my stash.

  23. The “Weed Schitzo” link has been studied at length and a new documentary featuring David Suzuki explains that people that have a predisposition to contracting Schizophrenia can have it triggered by smoking weed, but if you don’t have a predisposition towards it it will not cause it.

  24. pretty good, pretty unbiased compared to others like “The Union” definitely not being portrayed as “evil” if anything he portrays it as being natural. Very informative.

If you’r interested in a more social cannabis documentary check “In Pot We Trust” which is very impressionable and interesting

i think the causation of schitzophrenia is subjective as is addictiveness. If your prone to schitzophrenia, cannabis probably will bring it out. Same goes for addictive personalities. Once again I think it is subjective and thats my objective opinion.

  25. PLEASE WATCH “THE UNION” INSTEAD.

  26. All I can say about this is that it must have been produced by the government. I can honestly say I’ve met over 100 people that regularly smoke marijuana and none of them have ever experienced schizophrenia. Also, there is no chemically addictive components in cannabis, therefore, the man saying he was addicted and would be for the rest of his life is extremely ignorant. This propaganda attempt may be more convincing if it was even partly true.

  27. great post budy I recently land on this page and I enjoy it continue the good work .

  28. People throw around the word addiction way to much these days. Just cause you like to do something that some people don’t approve of doesnt mean your addicted.

  29. I am a big fan of cannibus, mostly because it helps me medically with my heart condition by speeding up my heart, which I couldn’t do with all the Big Pharma meds without actually damaging my heart, gaining twice my body weight, and other harmful side effects. Even though I smoke “spliff”, it has helped me to cut down on smoking cigarettes and is overall less expensive than the heart meds I used to take. For example I smoke a little over an 1/8 a month and it costs me 5 times less than medicine that would be 5 times less effective.

Aside from the medical benefits it is also great to be high. I can smoke all night and the next morning not feel any negative effects. In fact I wake up most mornings ready to kick ass. This ends when I smoke my first joint, but the point is to be responsible. I use 4:20 as my guideline. I wake and bake on weekends because I live in the middle of the woods and being high in the woods is more awesome than Avatar in 3D on the big screen.

I know I get judged by people because I am open about my love for the buddha, but I am no slacker. I have 2 doctorates from MIT (and let me tell you if you want great weed visit a college physics department) and am retired at the age of 33. So f-ck anyone who says weed just makes you a useless stoner. I’m surprised I didn’t bring a bong to my thesis defense instead of a laptop and yet I’ve done okay.

That being said I hope everyone who does smoke does so responsibly. No heavy machinery, don’t let people pressure you into it, buy from a non-shady source, and only smoke around people you trust while not stoned.

Otherwise make up your own mind or talk to an open-minded doctor or other medical professional.

  30. hey there im a 24 yr old male and I use pot a fair bit, probably go through about 15 bongs a day with no tobacco. Ive had juvenile Milclonic epilepsy since i was 9 and still have. i used to have it fairly bad until the doctor i was seeing got it under control with drugs and such but i was still having the occasional big seizure (grand Mal seizures) and many other small flickering of the eye lids and twitches known as brain triggers (normally from changing lights and such) . since staring the use of cannabis when i was 22, my parents have never had to take me to the docs for another seizure, i VERY RARELY have eye flickers or twitches at all. when i saw the documentary and the part about epilepsy and receptors slowing down i thought it was great cause that’s how an epileptics brain works. then when the cannabis receptor kicks in it just slows the system down. i only grow my own small BUSH PLANTS ONLY, and i say bush cause they are natural with no chemicals like that stuff they grow in hydro labs. i will admit i am addicted because it does slightly get me high but honestly i thing if i haven’t had a seizure in 2 years when i used to have at least 2 a month when i wasn’t on the gear. so i have recently told my doctor what i have been doing and he said it was not smart and not the best idea as it could have had very bad effects on the system, but he said that with my body and its functions it possibly could be doing something for me. such as slowing down the receptors and such. does anyone else have epilepsy and smoke cannabis???? thanks

  31. Really, do you stoners hear yourselves? Tallk about a complete over-reaction to what is a pretty balanced doco. If you listened to it carefully….(not stoned.)…are psychologically capable of thinking critically….(not simplistically)….and was willing to accept other opinions (not simply defend your own) you would realize this, however these are not the hallmarks of a brain fuzzed up by dope.

Is it as damaging as Heroin; probably not unless you have social or psychological factors that put you at risk. Should it be legalized; yes given the associated damage caused by the criminal element. Is it addictive; yes, psychologically but not physically; that is, it becomes a crutch that you depend on………”I’ve been smoking for 20 years and could give up any time I feel like it”…..give me a break!

I understand the pleasant experience of smoking dope just as I understand the pleasant feeling associated by having a couple of beers……I probably favor the former except that it is illegal and I have a career and family to consider.

I also have a mate who still gets up and has a bong every morning and is stuck in the same rut that we were all in 30 years ago. Coincidentally I also have a mate who is a paranoid schizophrenic (and there was no sign of such a disorder before we started smoking together). Would they have ended up in these situations without dope; who can say, it certainly isn’t the domain of a documentary and is very difficult for science to answer.

I have lived with a father addicted to tobacco (who reckons his emphysema is a result of the diesel fumes he was exposed to and not the pack a day he smoked) and a sister who is permanently damaged by her addictiions to alcohol and prescription drugs. Both of these will argue that they could quit at any time but simply don’t want to…bullshit. If you read the over-the-top reactions from most of those attacking this documentary, you hear the same biased perspectives.

Do what you want to do and accept the consequences for your choices but don’t fool yourselves.

  32. the guy addicted to spliffs is a joke. to my knowledge, the european spliff is half weed and half tobacco, this guy is addicted because of the addictive qualities of the tobacco, not marijuana. This is why american smokers are the shit, we dont mix =)

  33. I have tried this stuff and I would not recommend you try it. All the more for me.

  34. the stoner rat is probably asleep against the dosage button lol

  35. I’m 25 been smoking for the past 5 yrs… Was diagnosed and prescribed zanax for anxiety and paxil for depression, took it ONE WEEK made me sick and have stuck to smoking ever since.. I love it! No side affects unlike the meds I’m suppose to be on but as for the addiction I’d say I’m addicted! but its actually helpn me more than anything… I work have a family and live a normal life, jus gota hide it cus for sum reason its illegal

  36. i smoke weed cos i like the buzz, when i say “man i wanna get high” it doesnt mean if i dont get high right now im gonna flip out, but when i say “man i wanna ciggarette” i fucken mean i want a smoke NOW….weed is so far down the order of addictive drugs it’s not really worth a mention, hell paracetomol is more addictive and u can buy that shit anywhere, shit doco and hated every minitue of it. And if u are addicted to weed then try a joint without tobacco in it(pussies)

    • This doco is absolutely crap, I been smoking dak since the age of 14yrs have bever been out of work, have raised 2 children, only had 9months secondry schooling, own my own house, still working in construction, in engineering, and oil and gas industry, in the major sites in australia and new zealand, as well as the pacific island, offshore on oil platforms and floaters, and i am 65yrs young. this fuker like the majority of right wing flag waving fukers never get to see the real people of this world only the sick ones, mind you i am pretty sick the next day after i hit shore after polishing off a bottle of tequila, jack daniels and a doz bottles of corona and half an oz of ,afgan kush, or ak47, oh i only smoke my own shit too grow my own, and its kick arse shit to. helps my artheryetiss, increases my alertness, i mix the oil with vegtable oil to rub on my artyhritic hands and elbows, eat the leaves choped up with advocardosa and tomatoes, apricotts n rice as a salad along with other herbs, oh and i also scuba dive and have been for years dont quite remember how long i have been. i cook the leaves with the fish and lobster i get. i also fry up the leaves in butter and use the butter in my buns and cakes and for stir frying.hey i am not alone in using this wonder plan, there are thousands like me globaly, can be used as a pultass as well as a cure for cancer among other medicinal use,s. so that fuker knows fuf all.

  37. What a joke of a ‘documentary’. More like a propagandary.

The ‘addict’ was just an unemployed bum and nothing like a true drug addict (such as Heroin or Cocaine) and the schizophrenic reckons he started smoking dope at raves when he was 15 and that’s the cause of his voices in his head. No one goes to raves to smoke dope. I reckon he’s messed up from Meth or Ecstasy.

Even at the end when the pharmacist explained the properties of Cannabis and the benefits of said properties, he still shrugged them off in favour of the stupid tests like, dropping a mouse in milky water to see how long it could find the hidden platform or; some boxed up rats with nothing better to do then take heroin or THC.

    • I know right! Cause one guy can’t handle hi shit its supposed to reflect that way on all of us?? To each his own! Ever heard that? TCB! Is not that freakin hard.

  38. This is a TOTAL propaganda piece and full of crap. This guys grant should be pulled. Pls No more propagando proabition please
check out a movie called the union

  39. Actually he said “Legalise it.”

  40. like bob marley said: legalize it! FFS!
    Peace!

  41. I do not smoke marijuana, and only have a few times by vaporizer(which technically is breathing it since its air). I do make/eat hash butter though. Eating pot compared to smoking it is a whole DIFFERENT high, I think everyone would agree. Instead of a mental high you its a whole body high. Personally I feel more proactive when I eat my oatmeal or toast or w/e you want to put it in/on…. I only use pot once or twice a a week because I don’t feel a need to during most of the week unless it was a really stressful day.
Pot does effect thoughts, and for most people its not noticeable because smoking it everyday it becomes routine and unnoticeable but stop smoking for a few days and handling tasks do become a lot easier, thought patterns do change. I would have wrecked a couple times already if it weren’t for my heightened senses due to pot, but its not good all the time(situationally). In the words of Seth Rogen; it makes everything better, makes food taste better, makes music better, makes sex feel better for christ sakes! why the f*** not, you know?!

  42. i smoked for a year straight, quit for a year straight (not hard at all to do since its not addictive) then started again for half a year, had a bad trip cuz my friend was tryin to freak me out, so i simply quit again… nothin hard about it. the people that chose not to quit dont do that cuz they’re addicted, they continue to smoke cuz why shouldnt they?

  43. Humans are addicts by nature, and that isnt necessarily a bad thing. We are all addicted to food, sex and love amongst other daily activities of habit. Why? Its because our brains are hard wired to become addicted to certain behaviours with the dopamine reward system, reinforcing behaviours that make us feel good. Yes i agree with others that marijuana is mentally addictive, (as people enjoy to smoke rather than feel the need to smoke) but it is not physically addictive, people do not become irrational, irritable, intolerant with others if they haven’t had a smoke that day.
With the use of marijuana you learn alot about the things that really matter in life. You become critical of what is important and what is not. Many of us in society are overworked and stressed beyond our means. I mean we have to take holidays to enjoy ourselves? Weed helps to get a relaxed perspective on life, and appreciate the good things as they come and enjoy the people you meet. I agree that if you smoke weed everyday, sit around doing nothing its going to lead to negative effects. However going on bush runs, exploring new places, seeing new ideas and thinking about things that you always took for granted. Weed enhances your life, smoke up!

  44. Thanks for blogging this blog post. It is such a great article.

  45. Caffeine, not cannabis is the world’s most popular drug. Delivered in the form of tea, coffee or cola, it’s available to almost everyone day or night.

  46. Oh, I’m trying to watch it. I REALLY am. But every time the documentarian’s head is in the frame during an interview, his bobbing and overly enthusiastic nodding makes it impossible for me to pay it any attention. I’m just going to have to read the comments and draw conclusions from that.

  47. Funny how almost everyone “defends” drugs.

“it’s not addictive i have smoked this shit for 15 years now” and u dont need it? makes me laugh. Same arguements as an addict…

Sure alcohol is worse, kills so many more etc we all know that. But still ya all are blabbering about not addictive, still most people smoke it every day. we are not talking about food or water here that you need to survive.

So if you dont need to smoke weed, why do you do it then? and are you a addict?

    • why do ilike ice cream, why do i like apricots, n bananas, why do i like fish, and salads, and tequila,n bourban, n beer, n sex, and sleep and most of all why do i like my job and work i must be an addict u dumb arse fukers.

    • Cannabis is not physically addictive. end of story. there are always going to be lame people who use it as a crutch, but I can tell you personally I can quit any day I want and not use for years at a time because I have done it a few times. The reason people say they keep smoking it for years on end every day is because they enjoy it and theres almost nothing wrong with it. the worst thing you can say about cannabis is that the smoke irritates the lungs and if you choose to just sit there and smoke then it can just be a waste of time.

  48. 100% truth!!
apathy and loss of interest in one’s one life and ambitions is the main consequence of smoking weed. I’ve stopped doing it after 7 years of constant usage (started at the age of 14) and it took me around 6 months to get my head straight. It wasn’t easy but that only gave me more motivation to get rid of that shitty habit. I wouldn’t like to generalize here, cuz I know some people which are much more normal, productive and active stoned, but my experience is that i just get lazy, paranoid, introvert, can’t remember shit in school, decreased interest in opposite sex, nervous, cold sweats, shaky hands…. just wasn’t my cup of tea any more, and I’m pretty sure that all users have at least some of these symptoms.. trust me guys I used to adore weed, but after experiencing all those trips (if u ask me every time u smoke it it’s a different learning and emotional experience) you can always go back to the stuff u learned and with a clear head it is much more fun!!

    ‘n’ btw.
    lsd rules 😀

  49. I agree. John is just a lazy douche. Bud is a gift from Mother Earth.
