Challenger: A Rush To Launch

This one hour documentary by WJXT was released to mark the 30th anniversary of the historical Challenger space shuttle disaster which occurred on January 28, 1986. It was a day that shook the country of America through and through as a nations icon blew up live on national television taking the lives of all seven crew members including a civilian school teacher.

This film takes an investigative look into what it was exactly that brought the shuttle down and through the voices of those directly affected by the tragedy including interviews with family members and NASA employees we gain a unique insight into the disaster and the efforts taken to ensure something like this never happens again.
