Children of the Secret State’ is an investigation into North Korea, considered by many as the last Stalinist dictatorship, a hidden and sealed country riddled with propaganda and saturated with hostility to democracy and the West.

we are all pathetic humans, especially those of wealth and power that can tuen a blind eye to all this. china (especially) and the US governments should be ashamed to not provide some asylum mechanism in place for those that do escape, for a country as wealthy as china to not show some humane compassion, is sinful

Joe, you do realise this film is shot in North Korea? Thought to mention it as your comment, to me, suggested that you think this is China.
They refused assistance due to not wanting the rest of the world to know that their people were starving. Arrogance in the extreme.
