Cocaine: History Between the Lines

Another History Channel Special, this time however on Cocaine and how it came to be one of the worlds most illicit drugs to date. This films takes us right back to the supposed origins of when the human appetite for Drugs began with one of the simplest being the chewing of the coca leaf in South America, where the natives thought it was a gift from God. Although the plant itself has been around for a long time, it wasn’t until 1855 that cocaine was first extracted from the leaf.
