Considered an essential drug in the healthcare system by the World Health Organization due to its several uses around a hospital, it also has become popular in the party scene, where it is known as “Special K.” The effect is causes on the human mind is called dissociative anesthesia, meaning that signals to the conscious mind are blocked from other parts of the brain. Your mind and body become detached from reality and you are taken into a depersonalized world.

In this documentary, we meet ketamine users, traffickers, doctors, and law enforcement, in order to get the full perspective on this often misunderstood drug.

The “trip squad”  … i understand their reasoning … but, they are just encouraging people to do drugs b/c the users will know somebody will be there to assist them …sounds very addictive and definitely, a “trendy” poison

    • Jwogman

of you have a stable life and people how care about you surrounding and supporting you, then there should be no reason, at all, that you would turn from using drugs recreationally to addiction where the user does it to feel ‘normal’

Well yes of course. Plainly obvious. So your point is…?

Don’t delude yourself idiot. The only reason they are there is to attempt to belong where they don’t fit in. They would do much better starting their own study club or hobby group. All they are getting from this is a false sense of belonging and a warped sense of self worth. What they are is future Democrats and PETA supporters. These are empty people who don’t understand that what they want so badly to belong to isn’t worth it. So they grow up on the fringe and slowly boil inside and end up belonging to fucked up Greenpeace and ocean warrior groups or join some bullshit social justice group hell bent on forcing everyone else to suffer because they hate their own lives. The males become the little angry ant cops with a power trip that ends up getting his ass beat or shot after attempting to fuck with the wrong people for the wrong reason. Their kids get picked on and the circle continues.

You Sir, win the internet. This is the most incisive and goddamned hilarious analysis of these kinds of social parasites that I’ve ever witnessed.  The women bestowed with authority are usually worse though because as well as a festering sense of exclusion and frustration they feel like they have to out-do the men in their bitter games of moral one upmanship.

  • Fmerrell82

Thats a really simple minded opinion on drugs in general. People are going to want and try drugs no matter what. Why not teach people about them so they at least don’t kill themselves and maybe find out later on that they should stop.

  • Paladin-chupa

Dont ever touch it, no matter how tempted you might be. Its a horrible feeling you cant grasp anything that is happening around you. I have tried this drug in my younger years and have also known people who have tried it. One person I know has never been the same since trying it and im not talking in a good way. This stuff for all intensive purposes should be renamed Zombie Dust.

You’re just saying that because you want more for yourself, you don’t fool me.

  • LLS207

This drug is a great anasthetic. It is a scheduled III controlled substance för a reason.
It s not meant to “party” with. If you do, you deserve whatever bad effect, trip, whatever you may have. But let’s not deprive the medical world of a drug because it is abused.
Should we ban morphine because it is addicting? Do you want to writhe in pain?

  • Rachel7069

I have never seen k, interesting documentary. Definitely don’t want to try it after watching this, but at 42 I have no interest in developing any new habits anyway.
What bothers me watching this is the law. How much money was seized from taxpayers to finance these drug stings for what amounts to just throwing it down the toilet. The fact is that after all these stings are said and done, not one person who wants this drug is going to go without it – they accomplish absolutely nothing while costing millions upon millions of dollars.

Just think if all those billions were spent on medical research, help for sick children, Mother Theresa, anything other than the nonsense drug laws. The biggest “dope” of all is alcohol; and what about cigarettes?

India is a dungheap. Most of the country lives in poverty. These idiots they have running security can be spotted by a two year old with one eye . Then they try to act all tough and profile a guy and it turns out they are profiling innocent people. Way to go there Hadji. Awesome work letting your citizens know you watch their every move. And what for? Their lives suck bad enough without you corrupt morons telling them not to do what the fucked up corrupt douchebag government and their napoleonic thuggees do. And why do they all look like they are wearing plastic hair. Christ, you would think the poor bastard that has to wake up knowing he was born Indian everyday would be allowed to forget  his empty stomach and squalid existence for a few hours if he wants to. The idiots at the top who want to control everyone everyday will never fucking get it. You won’t have so much crime and corruption if you leave people alone and stop fucking with their personal liberty. If they want to kill themselves on heroin, what business is itg of yours? I fucking hate people who think everyone should live like they think is right. Fucking arrogant busybody shitheads. I take every opportunity to verbally beat them down when I run across them. It’s so damned easy too. Damn

    • AndScrewyou2

And another thing, what the fuck makes these socially awkward 14 year old twats think they know anything? God damned self important morons. That chick with the glasses needs an intervention from someone to teach her how to stop stuffing her fat in denial face before SHE ends up with diabetes. A great shift my ass. These kids are trying to be part of the IN crowd by pretending that someone actually gives a shit about them. It’s fucking pathetic to watch people delude themselves that way. GET A FUCKING HOBBY AND GET A LIFE. Those aren’t your kind of people and no matter how much you think they give a rats ass about you , they don’t. Sad to watch people lie to themselves like that. This is where PETA and Greenpeace get their zombies. Failed cheerleaders and self important cows.

      ditto above.

I had my worst ever drug experience on ketamine. K-Holes are very unpleasant if you’re not actively seeking them (i.e. if you accidentally dose too high). This documentary presents them as some sort of transcendent state where you can far surpass ordinary ‘human experience’. What it declines to mention is that they can be terrifying experiences. I prefer hallucinogens like acid to ketamine, because the disassociative effects and so-called ‘near death’ experiences are very unpleasant. It takes a strange sort of person to want to mess with this stuff beyond one-time curiosity.

    • aaron

On my k-hole experience, by the way, I felt as though I sank through the floor of the room where I was partying. I lost all contact with the friends and people around me – including the girl that was cradling me as I sweated profusely and basically dribbled everywhere. My visuals turned into a thick tapestry of multicoloured pipes – almost like the classic Windows screensaver with coloured pipes, infinitely multiplying – and at one point I was sure I was visualizing the individual threads and seams of the carpet as I slid down in between them. Terrifying. Eventually I lost all sense of the people around me, their voices becoming distant and disembodied, and also vaguely intimidating. Unlike acid, I was genuinely gripped with a fear that I would never be able to return or ‘come back’ to ordinary reality. Not to mention the stuff leaves a terrible taste in your nose/mouth that tastes like pure chemical death itself.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004093823677 Francois Fermier

Hmmm, strange. Most folks report they enjoy k-hole a-hole lot.?

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004093823677 Francois Fermier

You are so right. I hate those near-death-experiences. A damn (pardon my French) nuisance I call them.

  • Smokekush123

    sounds like hella fun.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004093823677 Francois Fermier

      rather inane, no?

  • Everett Fuqua

OMG, how do young people, such as “Chris,” end up as such? I don’t see a particularly bright future–if he has one–for Chris if he doesn’t get help.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004093823677 Francois Fermier

I think the important issue here is that “Chris” identify him/herself. You assumed gentleman and not lady; but can we be certain, and is your assumption not a form of gender discrimination?

  • Roni

some of these comments… yeah you might not like it, and of course everyone needs to be safe about it, but ketamine is a beautiful, awesome and very safe substance to use. correctly.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004093823677 Francois Fermier

Right. The word as you say is “correctly.” That means no more than once a day after meals, and at night before bed.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004093823677 Francois Fermier

“…get the full perspective on this often misunderstood drug”

That’s so true. Many times I day I think “Gosh I must try to understand ketamine.”

  • Meroujan

I saw this documentary a few weeks ago and it barely touches the abuse of K.
My friend slit his own throat with a broken beer bottle on this drug just to prove something to his girlfriend.
He didnt even feel it, with a mixture of coke and K he had to take a minute to realise the gravity of what he had done to himself.
This drug is not only dangerous for physiological reasons but because of the dangers one can put oneself in without even realising.
Then again, if used responsibly and for no other purpose than experimentation, it is really not as serious a drug as you might think. In low doses all it does it make you feel like you are living in life’s grey area, in between everything and nothing.

anyway, legalisation of all substances is the ONLY solution to understanding addiction and being able to successfully slow down its propagation..
saying the drug is the problem is the same as saying human’s are the problem..
and yes, both above statements are true, but the question is what do we do to try and solve the problem??..

  • puya

unfortunately it’s great high make tolerance quickly if u develop heavy injection habit, for starter it may be scary but u may get over that and began to enjoy it after while,it’s no good snorting it,u can’t get k hole after a while and if u take too much u will vomit most likely for it’s bad taste, and it’s high is lower, but if u are some where unsafe u better just sniff a little to get tipsy if u want to be functional, the last advice as a experienced k user is stay still somewhere safe in low light with watcher if possible,u may bump your head around and notice it later, beside this not any long and short term damage seems happening after all these years of taking pure vet liquid ket yet

  • puya

this documentary was bullshit,no scientific data or any useful think at all, in fact it misinform you,the most obvious think is you must not take k with alcohol,if it don’t kills you it will give you the worst experience you ever had,yet one unanimous retarded guy in this film promote this combination and he says it feels soooooo good, i wonder if he really take k instead of some designer drugs. this film was total wast of my and my friends time
