First Orbit

A real time recreation of Yuri Gagarin’s pioneering first orbit, shot entirely in space from on board the International Space Station.   1. They used the international space station’s film of earth to use with the recorded voice.. which is really cool… I remember when this happened. I was five years old, and I was sitting on my daddy’s lap while listening to the radio in the kitchen…..here, in the same home I’m in now…in Merced CA….. Our government was pissed about not doing it first , but the whole world was excited that it happened at all.. remember, it wasn’t too long before this that the Wright brothers were trying to fly !!!!
