Heckler

Heckler is a comedic documentary film exploring the increasingly critical world we live in. After starring in a film that was critically bashed, Jamie Kennedy takes on hecklers and critics and ask some interesting questions of people such as George Lucas, Bill Maher, Mike Ditka, Rob Zombie, Howie Mandel and many more.

This hilarious documentary pulls no punches as you see an uncensored look at just how nasty and mean the fight is between those in the spotlight and those in the dark.

  1. Great to see so many entertainers when they were still doing standup. Quite a few went on to bigger things. A few left us too soon. Very good doc.

  2. All comedians these days have a “heckler plant” in the audience. The plant has a scripted course of heckling to engage either when the comedian give the predetermined signal (scratch his head , take a drink, etc) or if a real heckler in the audience starts. This serves three purposes, it provides comedians with a way out of the show if they are “bombing” . It also give the comedian a way to stop a real heckler by having the plant heckle louder then the real heckler. Third, it guarantees that even if the show is cut short, everyone will be talking about it the next day (publicity).

  3. That smartass from Giant looks like the kind of guy that roofies women because he can’t score with them otherwise.

  4. You’re all idiots, And obviously have no idea how it feels to be an artist let alone talented.

  5. Lets criticize heckler??? Haha fuck

  6. Something they don’t mention is that performers tend to be each others’ harshest critics. Though they don’t do it publicly, which is the difference between a heckler or blogger and just having an opinion.

  7. no joanne rivers interview..wf?

  8. i love reading these comments. exactly what the movie was talking about. people are so fucking stupid

  9. Yeah, I get pissed about things like this a lot. I think critics should ONLY be able to say if they liked it and why. A critic should CRITIQUE, no? Not bury. I think people get it too into their own heads that their opinion matters and that it’s okay to destroy people’s psyche.

Also, everyone who commented negatively, just to be negative. You’re probably wrong. You’re probably the people who misspell “weird” and “annoying”. I will go out on a limb and beneath myself to say that you are what is mostly wrong with humanity. You’ve probably never done anything worth anything to anybody.

Finally, if you don’t like Jamie Kennedy, why would take the time to WATCH A DOCUMENTARY HE MADE?! Lowlife.

  10. @Plaincoils, You are an as$hole and an idiot, you attempt to pontificate by informing on how hits the wafer joke AFTER the movie released! The count, 905,000 was it? Hey dipsh!t, the fact checker Googled it BEFORE it was released, probably in 2006 or early 2007, so the number YOU gave was how many people watched the movie and were curious enough to query it, by the time you made your comment in 2011-> 5 YEARS AFTER the fact checker Googled in the first place..and then you and then say Jamie is dumb? WTF..and for what, for not knowing “common everyday words”? It was ONE WORD, and I will bet money YOU have no clue what it was! If your guessing douche-bag that would be YOU, not the word! You go Kennedy! Everybody is a critic! ;p

  11. The numbers show that Kennedy’s movies are crap… Get over it dude, most people do not find you funny. That’s it! Listen to Rogan, if the critics get you but hurt, you’re a fucking idiot.

  12. While I agree with a lot of the points made in this film, I have to fall into the obvious trap of critiquing the one most annoying thing about it:  Jamie Kennedy.  It would be a lot more poignant without him and the fact he is such a horrible talent makes this film pale in comparison to a film where a talented person gets ripped for a role and decides to make such a film.  I loved every other aspect.

  14. My god. Jamie needs to remember that he chose this career! His reaction to this criticism is surely a sign that fame is not for him!

  15. Jamie Kennedy was by far the weakest component in this otherwise entertaining documentary.

  16. If I buy a microwave and it turns out to be a horrible microwave and does not function the way that it is advertised – I should not only have the right, but should be encouraged to tell the world about my experiences with the product.  If a movie sucks, people are going to write about how much it sucks.  Get over it.  Let that be a motivating force to quit making sucky movies.       C’mon Jamie – that bit about ‘country music.’ It wasn’t funny the first time I heard it in the 80’s and it’s not funny now.

  17. Worst. Documentary. Ever.

  18. oh and beautiful breasts!!!

  19. “i hope you get stomach cancer”  jesus christ, that was fn funny! really!

  21. Appleton WI says – Whaaaa. I made a million why hate me – Just shut the fuck up and let us take your money when you need a big fucker to protect your 5’6″ cunt ass. All these little fuckers need to shut up before we FUCKING EAT HOLLYWOOD!

  23. This is quite a good documentary from a sociological perspective, however, it tends toward being repetitive. Despite this tendency the documentary intelligently approaches the subject matter in a comical and thorough way.

  24. Wonderful film.

In Korea, celebrity suicide is quite common due to online hecklers.  Tragic.

  26. wow is jamie a bit “slow”? in the IQ sense i mean. it might account for the slow delivery and poor heckle put-downs. i think he needs to read more too. i kind of feel sorry for him. i think he should stick to washing cars.

  28. critics are people who cant write, interviewing people who cant talk, for people who cant read.

  30. This documentary has proven to me no one is funny or clever. Comedians and hecklers alike. Of course Jamie Kennedy made this, because that guy is particularly not funny at all.

    • Particularly you, so glad you’re not in comedy or a critic, b/c you such at that too. Something necessary to laugh is a sense of humor, but since drugs kill that you’re our of luck or maybe it was just never there and need better drugs.

  32. People don’t like being told the truth. The internet allows everyone to tell the truth and these pussies can’t take it.

    • So you must be ultra tough and far from a pussy posting all that truth on your computer at home. Here’s some truth. People who think the internet is filled with truth are gullible sheep. People follow group mentality and love to hate on people, so people like you with no talent jump right on that. Do you like that truth??? I’m ready for your rebuttal genius.

    • Most people wouldn’t know the truth if it dived from their arse and stabbed them in the eye. Don’t confuse opinion with truth.

  33. Also… a google search for ‘communion wafer joke’ resulted in 905,000 hits. Thanks for lying, though…

    • Yeah- it came back with that many hits, how many had to do with the joke that Kennedy supposedly stole? You can put literally anything you want into google and usually come up with a wealth of hits. I just did it myself and nothing there was related to the joke except a link to imdb for this movie. Your point fails.

  34. Geez, jamie kennedy is a little whiner….  Also, he can’t pronounce most of the words people use in their criticisms! Normal, everyday words! Maybe that’s why people make fun of you so much, jamie….

  35. This documentary is not good. I would rather eat my socks and smell a fart.

    • You have all the credentials to be a critic. Are you being paid for your brilliant unfounded opinions or should I send you a check???

  37. Hm, there’s certainly some merit to the message of this film (critics being too harsh and everybody taking advantage of anonomity online to trash artists), but there is also a truckload of really bad movies out there, especially in recent years, and hollywood needs to be told that. Also, Jamie Kennedy doesn’t do himself a favour in this film, he comes across like a ehiny loser with no self esteem.

    • hollywood knows this. they intentionally make losing money movies to lower taxable profits. they still make billions of dollars but don’t pay as much in tax

  38. Right… ‘Till that dude showed up, trying to “defend” from bad critics on Batman Forever saying, “Hey, batman It’s just a comic…” Seriously, now… Even if he tried to film a comedy… it’s beyond redemption.

    • That got me too!  Shumacher is my least favorite director next to Uwe Boll.  Having him on here defending “Batman Forever” almost killed all credibility.  Tun Burton made a couple of comic book movies right before that.  I believe they involved Batman.  Don’t hear a lot of shit-talk about those, do ya?  At least he didn’t try to defend “Batman and Robin”.

  39. Very nice documentary. Fuck all you critics, nothing’s too good for you assholes!
