Inside Einstein’s Mind: The Enigma of Space and Time

This is the story of what is considered to be the most beautiful and powerful theory in science today, that is Albert Einstein’s theory of general relativity.

In November of 1915 when Einstein presented the world with his formidable theory our understanding of gravity, space and time was completely turned upside down and over the last hundred years since then, general relativity has enabled us to trace the roots of our existance to the Big Bang and better understand the incredible power possessed by black holes.

This film was originally released to coincide with the 100th anniversary of general relativity and it takes us on a journey through the mind of the genius responsible for its inception giving new insights into how this theory has revolutionised the way we perceive the world around us.

  1. Error in the documentary; man in the box falls to the floor of the box when a massive object comes near. This is incorrect because the box would also fall and the man would end up in ‘free-fall’ like in a falling plane. I think that that this is a documentary maker’s error and not Einstein’s!
