Life or Death in the Gaza Strip

A rare glimpse of the embattled Gaza Strip and a chance to see what life was like under the rule of Hamas. In 2007 VICE tried and failed to get into Gaza through the Israeli-controlled Erez Crossing.
Back then the rival Palestinian factions of Hamas and Fatah were engaged in a bloody war for control of this tiny strip of land.

Hamas won. When the post-Mubarak government of Egypt decided to start letting small numbers of folks into Gaza through their Rafah Crossing, VICE knew they could finally enter the region.

  1. Website admin should change the display picture of the doc because those are Israeli Soldiers.

  2. As Christians we should all pray for the peace of Israel. God help all of them.

  3. Bush and Cheney even out of office seek to discredit Hamas. This is a piece of anti Hamas propaganda.

  4. good program.   pray for peace for israelies and arabs alike .. god speed

  5. GOD help? what a strange statement to make, considering its religion these people are in that situation

    • It’s not religion that put these people in this situation it is an occupation of their land originally promised to them by their original colonisers the British. Then given to Zionist Jews, who in turn brutally forced them from their homes into settlements not dissimilar to the Jewish ghettos under the Nazis.

      • Israel left the Gaza strip.
Gaza is OCCUPIED by Hamas (an internationally recognized terrorist organization), after they killed the elected Palestinian representatives, and declared the Gaza enclave to be their own. This was AFTER Israel had left Gaza.

  6. God help ALL these people toward unified peace
