Louis Theroux: Jimmy Savile

The now notorious Jimmy Savile was an English television and radio personality who throughout his career held many charitable fundraisers, managing to raise an estimated £40 million, however this being said he was probably best known for being the host of the BBC show “Jim’ll Fix It”, similar to the Make-A-Wish Foundation the shows object was to make children’s wishes come true. When the once beloved Savile passed away, hundreds of allegations of sexual abuse were made against him and it has since come out that he may have been one of Britain’s most prolific sex offenders of all time.

In this episode of Louis Theroux’s “When Louis Met…” series, he meets up with Savile himself and spends time living with him in his house in an attempt to better understand the man. Before Savile passed there were rumours of his sexual abuse but most of which were dismissed and the accusers ignored, Savile even went as far as taking legal action against some.
