EP1/2 Louis Theroux: Miami Mega Jail

In the first episode of this two-part series, Louis Theroux spends time in one of the most notorious sections of Miami County Jail: the fifth and sixth floor of ‘Main Jail’, where many of the most volatile inmates are incarcerated.

Held in large cage-like dwellings for up to 24 men, the inmates have developed a strange and violent jail culture. The men – who remain in the cells almost all the time and may only leave for yard time twice a week – live under the sway of a gladiatorial code. They fight each other for food, for status, and often just to pass the endless hours of confinement. Trips to the infirmary are a frequent occurrence as inmates are viciously attacked and beaten, but the guards say they are powerless to end the abuse.

  1. 26:54 is pure comedy gold. Imagine LT in a cell with 6 black gangbangers and they shut out the lights.

  2. link is broken

  3. I can’t watch any Louis Theroux documentaries without wondering what he’s like making out. “Was that type of kissing typical for you? I imagine most outside observers would say it….”

    He is so English-style foxy.

  4. LOL watching Louis Theroux being asked “How do you feel about masturbation”. FUCKING GOLD!

  5. I love Louis…. I think he is misunderstood because of his naive Brit who ask lots of very deep, and non intimidating questions. He is actually really awesome.

  6. I think they are a nice upstanding group of classy fellows.

  8. —-MORE demoralization ops from the state BBC, hosted by ‘lifer’ Louis Theroux.

Maybe Theroux can FINALLY get beyond the Harry Potter pose, put down the
usual available oddballs –and turn those cameras around wonderfully on the
‘hidden masters’ –‘the Big Boys’ of Globalism (David Rockefeller, Soros, Ted Turner,
Prince Philip, Bill Gates et al).

    Coming in 2012!

    ‘LOUIS and the EUGENICISTS’

Here’s a sneak peek at some of his quirky queries:

    1. What  makes you giggle more? —weaponized vaccines? –GMO food?
        —or CHEM-trails?

    2. 50 MILLION exterminated unborn later —can we NOW start calling Mao Tse Tung
        a slacker?

    3.  IS genocide REALLY such a bad thing? –I mean seeing as RED China’s turned out
to be such a happening place?

    4.  DO franchise slums, porno, abortions and Oprah REALLY add up to a
‘feel good culture’?  –or even a culture at all?

    TUNE IN and find out!

    • I am a total fucking idiot that believes in chemtrails! GMOs do absolutely not help us have a massive global food surplus and feed starving human beings! My syphillitic mother refused big pharma’s medication and I got brain damage in the womb!

    • Conspiracy ranting is all we get on social networking sites these days. No matter what the topic/video is about, you can be sure there will be idiots like you there. I can’t even watch documentaries without these muppets posting bollocks about the NWO/Zionists/Jews/Illuminati/Rothschild’s/Rockefeller/Royal Family etc. It’s as if it’s become fashionable/cool to rant about these conspiracy theories that have no evidence to support them whatsoever apart from twats like Alex Jones and media like Russia Today promoting these weird theories.

Get a hobby or something. It’s getting boring now.

    •  Please shut the fuck up with Conspiracy Theory ramblings that are based on nothing but your own opinion and what Alex Jones tells you to think.

  10. A few cameras and 99% of abuse is gone.  Just as easy as that.

  11. oh wowww…this is so heavy and sad at the same time…so many nice faces and yet…

louis is great though…again! respectful and sincere, sometimes a little too naive maybe.

    • Hi Dietraenellahs,

      Watch him more carefully.
He´s not really naive, but he acts that way for lots of good reasons. He´s the master of the crafty interview and it´s one of the tools he uses. People feel comfortable talking to him, he´s just this friendly English guy, doing his job. When he acts like he doesn´t understand something the person rarely feels like they´re being cross-examined or interrogated, and they always go a little deeper than they would like to and then Bam!… Really tough well-informed question, that hits home- sometimes they completely crack and tell the truth/ other times the lie they´re forced to tell is so ridiculous we get the truth by omisson.

He is respectful and sincere, but also, sly as fuck…

      • You are exactly right.  The guy isn’t this fumbling naive British moron.  That’s just part of his interviewing persona.  Could you see someone like Barbara Walters doing a better job?? Not for the type of documentaries he makes!  People open up to him because he’s the type who is extremely difficult to dislike.  It’s his style, and I wouldn’t be totally surprised if he’s very different in real life.

      • He actually seems a bit pretentious.
