Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story

Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story is a 2004 biographical telefilm produced for VH1. The biopic stars Flex Alexander as Michael Jackson, and follows his rise to fame and subsequent controversial events. The film takes its title from one of Jackson’s songs, “Man in the Mirror”.

The film is a sort of spiritual sequel to The Jacksons: An American Dream, which discussed the Jackson family as children. The telefilm went on to receive generally negative reviews from both fans and critics alike as the film presented Jackson in a very unflattering manner.

Man in the Mirror begins with a flashback, albeit with a voice-over narration by Michael Jackson (Flex Alexander), who reminisces on his younger self (played by Brennan Gademans in a non-speaking role), wanting a normal childhood in addition to becoming a superstar at a young age. It later flashes forward to 1983, whereas Jackson (Alexander) is now a global superstar and pop icon, due in part to his success of his critically acclaimed and universally successful sixth studio album Thriller.

  1. It never was true. Before you spew bullshit get your facts straight

  2. read the publicly available information regarding his offenses.

this man, whether you like it or not, did what he was accused of. he did! read up and educate yourself, he was a child molester who got off because he had the $$$ to buy his freedom.

you “we love you michael!!” people need to have at least a semblance of rationality here, because you’re showing how embarrassingly belligerent you really are. he did it…both times.

his music was/is amazing, and he was a genius, but it is true.

  3. Thriller sold 25 mil copies worldwide? ARE YOU STUPID?

    get your facts right.

im a MJJ fan, and i’m not even gonna watch a second of this, the description says enough!

    • in other words, it’s not the fairy-tale story that you people wish to paint about this deeply decisive man, and so you’d rather just enact a direct censorship upon yourself than consider the fact that he was a pedophile/molester AND a brilliant, other-worldly musician…?

they are not mutually exclusive you simpleton.

      • You know that the biggest fault of Michael Jackson was that he was what he spoke about in Man in the Mirror but he thought too highly of the people in this world who want something badly. He didn’t want a boyfriend he wanted to give the world to the children and how fast his fans and the world turned on him. He was under the belief that if he fought the good fight and faced his greedy little accuser’s (parents who sent in there son to sleep at Michaels house not knowing if they would get paid on that bet) he believed that everyone would see that he was innocent. Yet the more people who are useless saw the worse it was for him. Ahead of his time by quite a bit, and like true genius discounted at the first chance to get to the world he saw. If the kids wanted a roller coaster he bought one. When he wanted to give them a giraffe he did. They wanted rides and games and he got that for all of them. Neverland unlike Graceland was fior the children and not his own party. His fatal flaw like most people lit up that bright was that you don’t ever get to turn it off if it’s on. He just wanted some sleep people. Give the mans legacy respect and his children a break from the misunderstandings of the masses in the face of difference… Make a change people

      • A dick rider calling someone else a simpleton? A first for everything I suppose
