The presenter David Shayler is an interesting character. He indeed worked for Mi5 and was imprisoned for a number of months after leaking information to the media about an unsanctioned assassination attempt on the leader of Libya, Colonel Gaddafi.
Since then his behavior has become increasingly eccentric. For the last few years he has been claiming to be in direct contact with god and to be the messiah and a reincarnation of various prophets and historical figures.
As for the documentary, the connections it draws are loose at best and it falls back on naive incredulity instead of drawing on any really tangible evidence.
