For the last 50 years the world has lived in fear of radiation. Hiroshima, Nagasaki and accidents at nuclear power stations struck terror in our hearts. As the world faces up to a new threat from global warming and the controversial alternative provided by nuclear power, a growing number of scientists are asking whether it’s time to think again about the dangers of radiation.

It’s the fear of huge doses of radiation that makes people reluctant to accept solutions based on nuclear power, but Nuclear Nightmares claims to have uncovered evidence to suggest these fears could be unfounded. Scientific facts or plain propaganda? Feel free to comment.

What a ridiculous whitewash propaganda documentary!
All the sick people from chernobyl weren’t really sick, it was all just in their mind. Man made radiation is actually good for you! Our creator had it wrong, there must be more radiation in our environment to stay healthy!
If you believe this crap, I got a bridge to sell you!

jackazz, if you had actually WATCHED the film, you would know that the fact that low levels of radiation are proven to actually prevent cancers was addressed in it, and that they said that people’s fear of radiation is overexaggarated . Try watching something before you post on it, so you don’t wind up looking like and idiot.

I don’t believe this for a second. There is too much other evidence to prove the information in this documentary wrong. There may be weak links to say radiation in low levels in beneficial but I don’t believe the death toll was overstated.

This is Ann Coulter’s hormesis theory, which she tried to talk unknowingly about on Bill O’Reilly’s show.  When Bill is the voice of reason, well…I think I’ll pass on this one.
