I’ve been here for about a month and half now and this is definitely the most difficult situation that I have ever seen. In the time that I have been here, children have been shot and killed. On the 30th of January, the Israeli military bulldozed the two largest water wells, destroying over half of Rafah’s water supply. Ever few days, if not everyday, houses are demolished here.. so I feel like what I am witnessing here is a very systematic destruction of peoples’ ability to survive and that is incredibly horrifying.

Yahya Barakat, who teaches at Al-Quds University, told The Washington Report that he began work on the documentary the instant he learned that Corrie had been crushed to death by an Israeli-driven Caterpillar bulldozer.

This documentary offers rare footage of Rachel talking to a camera and describing Israeli human rights violations against a Palestinian civilian population. The film opens with grim images of dinosaur-like Caterpillar bulldozers turning urban Rafah into a garbage pile of destroyed buildings. It continues with interviews of Rachel’s fellow International Solidarity Movement volunteers, and concludes with comments from her parents

Stupid bitch got what was expected and deserved. I hope it happens to more of you retarded activists. I did have a wonderful time watching the subject of protest switch rapidly from people to trees. You activists are fully retarded and deserve what you get. I love how you are lemmings and will let this happen to more of you. The fewer activists the better the world.

Matt, I feel so sorry for you and everyone whose lives you touch; you seem to be a truly ignorant and angry person. Don’t watch things like this if you feel so strongly about disliking it. Didn’t your mom ever teach you to not say anything at all if it’s not nice?? You should keep your malicious views to yourself, no one wants to hear them. It saddens me that there are so many ignorant people such as yourself in this world.

I haven’t seen this yet, but I think Matt doesn’t deserve a response, Stephanie is too opposite to Matt, and my comment remains centered, like warm water. Activists can be for almost any cause you could imagine, the world would be at a standstill without them. And I don’t think that just because you don’t have something nice to say, you should keep your mouth shut. If everyone did that, many of the documentaries here would never have been made. That’s a bad thing. But of course, these comments are pointless, and they may as well be nice . . .

obviously matt is the retard here, his very existance is an insult to mentaly disabled people. i would love to know where he comes from and find out a little more on his culture so as to find out how such a human being can see the decimation of a race and then complain about activists. to you matt i stick my middle finger up.

The very fact that you can reply to this documentary across the internet suggests you live in a civilised society. There isnt a civilised society anywhere in the world that hasnt fought and lost many souls in order to establish their own constitution but then you conveniently forget about those kind of activists huh Matt? You are standing on the shoulders of giants yet youre too blind to apperciate it. I hope for your sake you can see the irony.

Forget about Matt, Matt will die lonely and angry and no one cares. But whats happened in Palatine is a tragedy. I can´t understand, how Israel can be so racist and violent?
They already have a nice piece of land and still want more in a wrong way. The worst is no one (country, nation) does anything. The USA is supporting it in every possible way.
    I can´t find words for that. …

well you clearly know nothing of the arab israeli conflict ,and clearly know nothing about the situation, as im sure most people who are going to watch this documentary dont know that in 1948 israel agreed to the seperation of lands 2 state solution which btw gave the arabs much more than they had before , but instead over 8 arab countries attacked israel and lost in the war of independance
this women dies completely in vain
she was fighting a cause that she couldnt have known much abotu or was simply blinded to the other sides of the argument
israel gave back the temple mount , gaza , the sinai peninsula all for peace , where has it got them… nowere ,they are fighting an enemy whose sole purpose is the destructino of the country and the jewish people
the difference between the 2 is one loves life and one reveres death
you cannot have any diplomatic talks with a group who wont acknowledge your existence , and worse has been heavily involved in rocket barrages which happen daily in israel although im sure 99% of people reading this wont know or beleive , but its not hard to find out ….. btw i live in israel and were not all bloodthirsty war hungry people like you think we are
we lwant peace , but not whilst we have these maniacs sending their children with suicide bomb belts on them with the purpose of killing me or anyone who is jewish just because of that fact and nothing else
israel has tried to make peace and conssessions a million times , the saying goes , you give the palestinian an inch he will want a mile
and that is what is going on right now , they dont want a palestine next to israel , they want one instead of
which cannot , will not ever happen
so try reading a book , going online and stop believing everything the bbc , rt and other such media outlets telll you
there are 2 sides to every story , shame is that we understand theirs very much so , they just dont see ours or care ……

you are a fucking crazy zionist to the core, aren’t you?? taking away the land in the first place was wrong you fucking idiot. there is no question of historically belonging there. my ancestors are from central asia, can i go claim the land as you, an excuse of a human being, have. you have no right over their land and palestine will be free of your zionist agendas. the day is not far. Zionism will die. peace will prevail.

i understand that what happened is tragic i feel like what she did was very stupid however. what she was trying to do was respectable and very brave but as i said stupid if you are going to put yourself in such danger to make a point that is fine and dandy but to put yourself in the path of a moving bulldozer is suicide as rachel clearly proved here.

    • Johnny

It is suicide to be born in Palestine as a Palestinian, but they don’t get to choose that life as the activists do.

She choose to willfully put herself in such danger in an attempt to bring attention to those who have no choice in the matter and suffer far worse.

It may go against the natural instincts of self preservation but if it is stupid to stand up for people who just end up suffering more when they try to stand up for themselves then the world needs far more stupidity like that.

Unfortunately the PR machine of Israel will likely succeed yet again at making most Americans turn a blind eye to it all.

I understand the need to protest, however, there are casualties on both sides of this war; its not noble to risk your life in this way; she would have helped the peoples plight even more by lobbying her government. Diplomacy and not radicalism works. This story is sad but unfortunately it doesnt keep the actual issues in the spotlight.
