  1. Telling a severely asthmatic child that he’ll just have to suck up the whole possible death thing? These executives are nothing short of impressive.

  2. As long as people don’t smoke in public places or around children, then I don’t really care if they smoke. The only reason I care about the public places and children is because, I’ve have a chronic, life threatening lung disorder and have had it my entire life. Second hand smoke always sent me into the hospital within a few hours of exposure. My fathers side of the family are smokers and my mom is a smoker. However, my mother never smoked near me, she never smelled of smoke, she wouldn’t smoke in the house, car or anywhere I went and was extremely protective to keep smokers away because of my health. My fathers side of the family didn’t believe second hand smoke could harm to someone and whenever we sometimes had get togethers or family reunions, they would always start smoking near me anytime my mother wasn’t around (like if she went to pick up my meds or go to the bathroom). Then I would turn blue and pass out and I would have to be rushed to the ICU and incubated. For the sake of people who don’t want to be around smoke or can’t be around smoke, and children who don’t have a choice, smoking shouldn’t be allowed in public. I wasn’t able to go into most public places until my state passed the non-smoking law for public places. After that I was finally able to go into a restaurant and many public places I’d never been in before even though they’d been there for 20yrs. Before that I wan’t able to go to get togethers, stay in hotels on vacation, ride in taxi’s, stand in a bus station or even have a meal in a restaurants with my mother.
Having the no smoking law passed has given me so much freedom and allowed me to do things I haven’t been able to do in 23yrs.

  3. Read “Smoke, Lies, and the Nanny State”. Google it. Free PDF

  4. i’m inclined to agree with Renton and IM A Smoker.. lol..  i personaly enjoy it, it is LEGAL and yes i’ll likely end up with emphasyma as my father and grand and great grand fathers did,  but hey i’m not lookin’ to live forever..

if your against it, hey that’s fine to, but i don’t need to bashed to death about it,  fark if your sick of it, give it up, stop whining, and then do me and the world a favour and drop dead of a heart attack while your out jogging..

are you the kinda person that likes to sit at a cafe on the side of a street havin’ a coffee while watching other people that are watching you, watching them?   while your there again do me a favour and BREATH DEEP,   i would presume that your smart enough to know that putting a hose from the exhaust of your vehicle into the cabin will kill you!?   but that’s ok isn’t it..  lol..  smoking must be worse cause i heard it on the news or internet..     so anybody that’s interested should certainly try a garbage bag of cigarette smoke and then one of exhaust fumes eh..

and again as Renton said,  there’s waaaay to many people on the planet,  so why worry about those that are fucken dying?  most people after reading this will be wishing me dead..  and that’s exactly the right fucken attitude!!  you don’t know me so why would you give a fuck!?   i don’t know you or your brother or mother that died of cancer or is dying so why should i give a fuck!?  quit the bullshit,  yeah of course we all,  as do i care for family and friends but don’t carry on about people you don’t know….

i would also have to consider myself lucky to die of emphasyma as opposed to getting wiped out on the road by some fuck stick texting on a mobile eh..   guess it’s all in the way you look at it..

    have a nice day..

    drink, crash and die =)

  5. Smoke weed!!! Problem solved.

  6. the way to quit smoking is to just be broke and not able to afford cigarettes at £5.80-£7 for a 20 pack

  7. I don’t want them to stop smoking. This could be a peaceful way to end the over population problem, this and drug addicts. It sounds sad, but if your not selfish, and you think beyond your lifetime, you will see there is a lot of truth to what I am saying.

Cigarettes normally kill people after they have kids.

      •  The obese will be the next group of people who will be picked on by smug types such as yourself. The population problem will take care of itself because deep down no one really wants to procreate with the fatties. Sound hurtful and ignorant?

  9. hour an a half long sleeping pill….This is really interesting…but soooo drawn out.

  10. Now this is dirty 😮

  11. Now this is dirty 😮

  12. In a corrupt world where “money talks and bullshit walks” in just about every aspect of life, it’s all up to the individual to look out for himself. If you never start smoking, you’ll never have to fight an addiction later down the road.

  13. I have been a smoker for 12 years and I hate it. I have tried to quit many times but so far no luck. I agree that smoking has no place in society today, however this documentary has really poor jounalistic integrety and had not really helped me in any way to quit

    • I agree Ive been a smoker on and off for about 10 years, off smoking when I tried to quit, lol .Watching this just makes me hate the tobacco companies even more. I think if you want to quit its all in your head and up to you.

  14. It’s so sad that hundreds of millions of people are addicted to a product that makes their precious life shorter.

Money makes to world go around and it also makes me so fucking sad.

  15. Smoking is stupid and smoking kills.

But this ludicrous “documentary” is far more disingenuous and harmful than any tobacco executive.

  16. Ah, do we really need another anti-tobacco screed?

I suppose, I’d be fine with it, provided the documentary also covered the duplicitous tactics of the anti-smoking conspiracy.
