It’s perhaps the biggest, most controversial mystery in the cosmos. Did our Universe just come into being by random chance, or was it created by a God who nurtures and sustains all life?

The latest science is showing that the four forces governing our universe are phenomenally finely tuned. So finely that it had led many to the conclusion that someone, or something, must have calibrated them; a belief further backed up by evidence that everything in our universe may emanate from one extraordinarily elegant and beautiful design known as the E8 Lie Group.

While skeptics hold that these findings are neither conclusive nor evidence of a divine creator, some cutting edge physicists are already positing who this God is: an alien gamester who’s created our world as the ultimate SIM game for his own amusement. It’s an answer as compelling as it is disconcerting.

I agree with you, but there’s no point in posting glib responses to peoples faith. Whether or not you agree with it people are entitled to their opinions. When you post stuff like that it undermines people who are willing to engage in positive discussion and exchange of ideas on the matter. More importantly it gives more weight to the theory that atheists are as obnoxious about their lack of faith as religious fundamentalists (those people who reckon atheists burn in hell for eternity) are about theirs.

I’m not religious at all but I’m not one to be so ignorant or arrogant so as to completely discount what I don’t fully understand. I’m sure the mechanisms and meaning behind it all is so fantastic our tiny minds can’t even begin to comprehend it, and who’s knows, there just might be some utterly unimaginable answer behind it all, or there may not. We just don’t know.

People who think there is a god really need to study the concept of emergence.

    • People who believe in concepts such as ‘emergence’ do not understand an Intelligence beyond themselves because of their myopic view of life.

How can you deny that god exists when he, himself is narrating this documentary?!

A common misconception about theories is that they predate what they explain. In music theory is used to explain why those notes sounded good. It would be impossible to have formed any theory about music if nobody had started to play music in the first place.

Physics is the same in that you form a theory based on
the fact that the universe already exists. The theory
did not create the universe, it only tries to explain it.

If humans could create a universe from a singularity(remember laws of physics was non existent pre big bang) i would be an ateist to.

A theory about something that already exists dosen’t make you the inventor. So just as the snowman you built dont get hybris att tell your creator that he dont exist.
