You Won’t Regret That Tattoo

When it comes to tattoos we have all heard the phrase “you’ll regret that when your older”, well this short documentary by Angie Bird explores that concept, sitting down with several elderly folk who all have tattoos to discuss the meanings and memories behind the ink. This film sets about challenging the idea that if we get tattoos when we are young, that in later life we will come to regret it.

  1. I have always thought of tattoos as a form of self-harm but I now understand them as a trophy of living, a testament or your individual expression and survival of pain. They serve as physical manifestations of you experience. Such incredible stories – really loved this documentary. And really admire the participants. A lot of life they wear on their sleeves.
