Zero Days

While we all quietly surf around on the internet an elite of the smartest hackers scan it day and night looking for undetected safety leaks. They convert these secret leaks as if by magic into building blocks for cyber weapons which they can then sell for astronomical amounts of money to criminal organisations, security services and even the government. These exploits enable those in the know to infiltrate computer systems unnoticed, these can include banks or even nuclear facilities.

Among hackers there is a gold rush for these lucrative safety leaks and they call suck leaks, “Zero Days”, meaning they have been known about by the general computing world for zero days i.e. undiscovered, making them extremely valuable.
