Off the Chain is an unprecedented look into the underground world of dog fighting. Beginning with a history of the American Pit Bull Terrier, the film explores the evolution of the breed. Classic film and television footage show the popularity of what was once considered a noble and trustworthy family pet. Examine how this breed went from America’s dog to public enemy number one.
Travel to the back alleys and dark corners of the inner city to expose the truth behind the breed’s new status in pop culture; an urban symbol for violence, aggression and gang-life. The first documentary of it’s kind; director Bobby J. Brown spent three years infiltrating the underground subculture of pit-bull fighting. Gaining the trust of well established dog men, they allowed him to film behind their dangerous veil of secrecy.
Pity they did nit show hoe professional matches take place in Japan. Vets Vet nurses in attendance Dogs that showed gameness win for lose are kept, they just showed the low class inner city bangers who are light years away from professionals PS there dogs are nit trained to fight its their purpose
You’re pitiful they are trained and you clearly have no morals why watch dogs when humans actually make a living beating each other I hope you enjoy your sad pathetic little life
this is inhumane i do not understand how they can watch it with satisfaction, its torture what they’re doing with the animals, i

I hate how these stupid fucks talk about how gallant and noble combat is. Unlike any of these ‘owners’ I’ve been deployed twice, and three of my friends have been killed in action. Combat is dirty, scary, exhausting, dangerous, and riddled with grief. This can be a difficult, but necessary sacrifice, and we all chose to be there. The same can’t be said of those dogs and the torture they undergo.
Everyone with even a smidgen of involvement in this should be sent to Afghanistan since they find injury and death so poetic and inspiring. I wonder how much they’d continue to love combat once they get to experience it for a change.
He acts like having fighting dogs near other homes is okay because the dog would ‘only’ kill one of their pets, but not children. If some dipshit gets one of my pets murdered because his numerous personal inadequacies prompted him to dogfight I would literally do my best to break every bone in his body. All that alleged love is a farce since he obviously does not regard them as part of the family.

WTF is up with that dog at 1:28 . He’s a better gymnast than our Olympic team.
Pretty well made documentary. Even with all the media and TV and info about dog fighting, I’ve never really heard these heartfelt arguments made by the “doggers” defending their sport. It’s eerie and sick, but really interesting to hear about what they describe as their love for the breed.
