World leaders and activists from around the world gathered for the G20 Summit. With over 19,000 police officers and security personnel on hand, the results lead to over 1100 arrests, martial law in downtown Toronto, and the most massive violation of civil liberties in Canadian history.

Today it’s protesting but the left have locked arms with large tech companies and their politicians who enable them. Now that they grabbed the reins it’s going to get interesting.
Because the ‘Black Bloc’ wasn’t ‘real’ protestors. That was staged, and the burning police cars and busted windows photographed by the mainstream media, to show the damage that was caused by the ‘violent protestors.’ It’s all a game, but the stakes are high. Left unchecked. we’ll all be living in a full-time, total, ‘1984’ police state. If you noticed, one of the cops said something about a guy looking at him the wrong way, and a female officer stopped a guy because he had said, “Good luck on Saturday.” The ‘Thought Police have arrived folks. This can’t continue. I realize this was filmed in 2010, but the Totalitarian control fantasy is alive and well.
Power to the people, uh, peasants. I wonder if cops get bonus pay for letting the robber barons fuck them in the ass? Maybe they just like it, who knows.
Looks like Toranto was a smaller security version of Genoa in 2001 with Kettling tactics. This was Genoa…

this is the reason people will give up on peacefully protesting and eventually come prepared for the worst, if the police want to trample people for no reason they should only expect a war right? If they have no restraint and in this case no real method to theyre madness it makes me wonder if they WANT protesters to start bringing guns? I think that would fall right into theyre plan, someone said that the police are human and have familys like the protestors all I see is robotic stormtroopers not humans
They do the bidding of the cowardly, greedy, delusional fucks that are too paranoid and chicken shit to do anything for themselves. That makes them, the cops, just as bad. I don’t guess they’re known for their intelligence, or they wouldn’t be cops, but it seems like they’d have enough sense to see that they’re on the wrong side. The world is getting smaller and smaller for the mega-wealthy. I’d hate knowing my life was in grave danger if I sat foot, alone, in a public place among those I’m oppressing. People are finally starting to wake up.
brenden, your fucking retarded i hope the police smack you in the head with a billy club for sitting on the side walk so u realize what your saying. ur a disgrace for giving any credit to the police for stepping on people’s right’s, the police and politicians are the conspirator’s not the people making a peaceful assembly. and way to much guilty until proven innocent also.
as bias as he might be, i totally agree with his methods. for 2 reasons, one is that this is something news channels do all the time express bias. and two because no matter what side he is on He did not lie about anything it is all truth. not sure i can say the same for the police and mainstream media about that…
all of you are fighting over pointless shit. look what this is meant to provoke. unity and power against the suppressors.
In all these protests the police never arrest the people
causing the damage, they wait until they stop and then attack the innocent protestors.
In Seattle the police let the trouble makers in black slip right through their
line before attacking the protestors, seems like they use this same police
tactic in Canada.
Great Doc!
My protest march would of been planned so well like weeks before i would of got a map of the area, marked all the jewllrey shops, then on the day followed the march until we got near one and a few of us take the display…..yeah
I like how in the beginning he just trolls with a megaphone…. besides that it was actually a decent documentary. I have a lot of information and experience with freedom of information and these guys are some of the few who are trying to get the word out. Gl hf. Remember, the CIRCUMSTANCES will always change for some reason to allow more and more security. Until there is a camera in your house and you are a traceable personat all times.
i read the next g20 is in france…..try and make it out there

why is this in conspiracy ? these people clearly have a rite to protest and all this film shows is how the police have been trained to make other people not want to protest in the future

the police allowed the destruction to justify their brutality

I was honestly quick to classify these people as arrogant hippies. After watching the entire thing I am completely disgusted. Yes. what the “Black Bloc” did was wrong morally, but what the police did was far far more so. Instead of doing their job of catching the criminals they proceeded to back down and crack down on innocent civilians and protesters becoming criminals themselves. It doesn’t matter if you agree with the protesters or not, it’s their right to do so. We see many examples of police officers trying to flex their muscles just because they have a fancy title and uniform. Law abiding and peaceful citizens being harassed and abused by those that they have hired to protect them. Hilarious!
Read some crappy comments in my time, but this one…How observant of you to come to the conclusion the troublemakers were intent on doing damage.A new Sherlock Holmes has arisen.Secondly i seriously doubt those hippies were the first to criticize the police. I think the owners of the banks and the fancy shops were the first. Thirdly it takes a lot of courage to go onto the streets and do some damage and risk being strangled by a copper or having to spend prison time then it is to make silly remarks sitting behind your computer. These are the young people fighting to make a real chance and indeed some will do it for the kick of it.
I’ve heard some crap in my time, but that takes the cake. Trying to say its the Police Forces fault because they encouraged violence by leaving cars parked on the street, is no different than saying that women who wear skimpy clothes are encouraging men to rape them. What utter crap. Take some personal responsibility for your actions. The troublemakers that attended those riots were intent on doing damage no matter how they went about it.
It makes me sick how those hippies are the first to criticize the police and there actions, and then the first to complain when they aren’t there to stop the damage. Gutless hypocrites!
So, you see nothing odd about leaving the actual thugs away with vandalism and bringing the hammer down on those who were peaceful. I agree, you ARE sick.

Police was just practicing for in future. After the coming financial collapse the protests will become massive. They let the black block do some damage to turn the public opinion against the protesters. The massmedia rarely show the violence the police are commiting. Most people think it is worse to burn a cop car then policemen beating someone up unnecessary who didn’t do the burning. Without the black block media attention is non-existant with the black block in demonstrations the police get public permission to beat up peacefull protesters. Some in turn will give up some will become agressive themselves. All leading to radicalisation which they will abuse to clamp down harder on the protesters. Good everybody got cameras nowadays
This movie was made to infuriate anybody. On one side you have a bunch of arrogant hipsters spewing smugness and on the other side you have police who follow orders blindly like stupid sheep. What kind of idiots destroy property and riot then get surprised when cameras show up in their city? As for the police what do you expect, all police everywhere are ordered to do things like this.
Stop wasting your time protesting and voting and just become one of these government assholes and pull the wool over their eyes before you start enacting your own agenda. That is how you beat this system. And if you make a fucking documentary be the person that puts an end to the worst part of this situation, the bullshit impending doom sounding music.

I live in Seoul, where the 2011 g20 was held and people were just too scared to go protest for fear of the same “blocking in” tactics by the police. That is the worst of it all. We are more afraid of those who are supposed to protect us than of the terrorists who supposedly pose a threat. If that is not the effect of oppression then what is?
Something iffy about this documentary. I mean, what happened to the British guy, no broken nose for him? I can’t believe they got their tapes back, really! and somehow they got CCTV footage from inside the compound AND ther police station. I mean, whose balls were licked. Also, those cops with the camera, i reckon they’re actors. Opinion. Take it.
this is a terribly bias representation and a glamorization at no point was the protesters violence condemned. the police were blamed for not stopping the destruction and criticized when they do. i don’t agree with the unnecessary violence on either side but i think your representation of the incidences are a disgrace and conspiratorial nonsense.

Of course the police were criticized for not stopping it – they spent a ton of money on the security, turned Toronto into a fortress under martial law to prevent problems, and then they couldn’t stop the problems…
When you are paid ridiculous amounts of money to do a job people expect the job to get done, and be done right.
The only worse thing would have been if nothing had happened at all and then the money would have been a complete waste.
And there were cops encouraging the protesters violent actions, I personally watched a plain clothes officer drive a cruiser through the police line and out like 80-100 feet in front of the line, get out and run back. The cruiser sat there empty for like 5 minutes before someone in a ski mask ran out of an alley and decided to start trashing it and then lit it on fire with a molotov cocktail, and then suddenly the riot cop lines came charging in with camera’s rolling.
That’s called “baiting” and it may not be illegal but it is definitely dishonest. The images of a burning cop car I’m sure helped make people sympathize with the poor officers facing those violent savages and made it far easier for everyone to forget the huge waste of tax-payer money involved.
We could have fed half the starving kids in the world for a year with that money probably, but it is more important that we spend it on man-made lakes and luxury resorts and military security for the wealthiest and most powerful people on Earth for the 2 or 3 days they are in this country.
Almost as sad as that meeting in Thailand a few years back supposedly about fighting poverty, so they built a wall in front of the slums across the street from the luxury hotel the meeting was held at so they would not have to see the poverty they were there to fight… and when the slums residents tore down the wall they parked buses in front of it…
Fight poverty – so we do not have to look at those disgusting poor people any more!

Fantastic. MAKES ME SO ANGRY THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!
I’m a film student and wasn’t too impressed with this doc. I’m not defending the actions of Toronto Police but the way this doc is structured and written seems jaded and biased, greatly hampering its objectivity and credibility.
Again, I’m not defending actions of the State, but if you’re advancing the argument of oppression and police excess then a confrontational approach or arrogant tone isn’t the way to go.
I completely agree with what phil said. For the exact reason that this documentary was made.
The documentary was made to show the bias of the news reporters and how they have a single outlook that disregards the truth. This documentary shows only one part of the story, the people’s view. For an argument to be rational it has to have discussed both sides and be objective.
I don’t disagree that the scenario was handled poorly, and this documentary does show that to a great extent.
I’m a business owener and I am not too impressed with Phil…
owner – I can spell too
“I’m a film student”
And that is meant to be some how imporant or relevant?
Great point Palone, I lol’d. The producers of the documentary expose a perspective that is not portrayed by mainstream media. Very interesting doc.

The images in this video need to be seen. It is simply not enough for certain young people to skim a National Post or a Sun article in which “anarchist hippies” are targeted as the bad guys, when so much more violence, violation of rights and crime surrounds them. This was a shameful and dark moment for Canada. This is not the kind of event we want to think of when we think of our peaceful, loving, diverse nation. Fuck Da Police, for acting in every way they should not.
Canadian police forces remind me of the foreign divisions of the german waffen-ss. Always trying to please their idols, by acting fundamentaly tough and without any mercy, respect or understanding for human beeings. These idols of course seem to be big brother´s american security forces…but since people over there are giving away their fundamental rights such as freedom of speech and privacy anyway, I guess they get exactly what they deserve. But sorry, didn´t mean to wake up anyone over there. Just sleep, consume, pay and die.
“privacy of citizens” guy goes to my school.
