Vice have just entered their third season on HBO and the first episode in the series is all about climate change and how it is affecting our oceans. Founder of Vice, Shane Smith travels to Antarctica in order to see first hand how the rise in global temperature is increasing the overall melt rate of the largest ice mass on Earth. Antarctica itself holds 90% of the worlds ice and 70% of it’s freshwater, so even the smallest increase in melt can have drastic effects on our oceans level. Smith also gets in touch with a number of environmental experts, climate change believers and deniers in order to get a better understanding of the political landscape surrounding such an issue. He also interviews Vice President Joe Biden.
