Hunter S. Thompson was an American journalist and author who founded the art of gonzo journalism. In this film we see Nick Nolte conduct a detailed examination of his life and death, exploring Thompson’s outrageous exploits which inspired various films including Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and The Rum Diaries.
Through interviews with Thompson’s friends, family and colleagues we get a very vivid portrait painted for us in regards to who the real Thompson was and how he perceived the world around him. A great watch for anyone who is a fan of this true American original.
