The Buzz Around Niue

Bee’s pollinate about a third of the worlds food but all around the globe they are dying from colony collapse and diseases at an alarming rate. As scientists search for solutions there’s a buzz around Niue, an isolated island nation in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, bee keepers have discovered abandoned hives there free from the issues seen throughout modern agriculture.

In this film by Al Jazeera’s East 101 the question is asked, can one of the smallest nations on the Earth save the worlds bee population?
