Cold War: Inside The KGB

The the night of August 22, 1991, a crowd of Russians began removing a 14 tone bronze statue in a major Moscow intersection. It was an act that years earlier would surely have cost them their lives, but on this night as democracy was budding the Soviet Union the statue itself represented all that was wrong with the country.

For those attending the affair the statues removal signified the end of an era. The man depicted in the sculpture was Felix Dzerzhinsky, one of Vladimir Lenin’s closest associates. He was the founder of the Soviet Unions first secret intelligence service known as The Cheka.

After Lenin’s death however Stalin consolidated his grip on the state by using this secret service as his personal means to control. In this film we see how The Checka evolved into the KGB and learn of the untold stories which lay behind the headlines in the unseen Cold War battles between Western intelligence agencies and the KGB.

  1. MESSAGE TO ANY/ALL ADMINS PLEASE DELETE UNAVAILABLE VIDEOS

    PLEASE UPVOTE TO GET ATTENTION
The list of videos that are “This video is unavailable” is quite large unfortunately, and actually they are far more often then not about issues that matter today, they are happening now or just coming to light so essentially THE IMPORTANT ONES, hmm funny that.

Its upsetting but not surprising it got to a point where every 7/10 or more names of the documentary that caught my eye were “This video is unavailable”, now i’m under no illusion its the website and it is youtube’s seeming relentless and ruthless censoring of topics “not in the main stream”.

    ~| POINT |~
PLEASE REMOVE IT IF AN ALTERNATE SOURCE/OPTION IS NOT POSSIBLE.

Also could just remove it from the active browsing library or make it easy to tell before you look for a few mins to find an interesting video to then click on it read description maybe do a quick google search now you then have “This video is unavailable” then repeat…..
