The subject of this film is Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert F. Kennedy. Her daughter Rory Kennedy, one of 11 children requested she take part in a documentary in order to share the families memories. Through five days worth of interviews and with exclusive access to the Kennedy’s home photos and videos we learn of how Ethel’s life is one of the great untold stories.
We gain great insight into how the family lived a primarily normal life but were guided by parents who were fully aware of the need to improve the world in which they lived in and how they encouraged their children to acknowledge those needs and do something about it.
Ethel details how life changed once Robert died and how she managed to raise 11 children. After the funeral she also became an of her and her husband’s vision.
Now, over 40 years after Robert Kennedy’s assassination, they continue to be a family.
