Florida Man

Florida Man is a film by director Sean Dunne, it is a honest examination of the human oddities which can be found populating the streets of Florida. Dunne makes it his mission to interact with those whom typically would go unnoticed as you went about your daily business. We are introduced to a variety of interesting characters who are more than happy to share their perspective on what it is like to live in America today.

Driving around aimlessly, Dunne and his team would stop whenever they saw someone they believed to be interesting, allowing them to speak freely we are left with a whole bunch of people telling stories and talking about whatever happened to be on their minds at the time.

It is a strange and wonderful journey which captures each of Dunne’s subjects in the comforts of their natural habitats, primarily outside of bars, liquor stores, laundromats, dingy apartments and motel rooms. Through this format they become preachers of the street gospel.

  1. It’s to explore other worlds than yours and to sympathise with other human beings, better or worse standards of life.

  2. What was the point of this documentary? Just to exploit people that are alcoholics or those that are down on their luck? I don’t see why the director wasted his time filming this.
