Last year over one million people were given emergency food in Britain and the numbers now only seem to be growing. The Food Bank is an organisation that goes to the frontline of food poverty and meets up with some of those who are struggling to survive and driven to the brink, sometimes feeling as though their only resort is to shoplift.
In this film we follow the stories of several people who have found themselves needing help from the busiest food bank in Dundee. These people have stumbled on hard times for various reasons, Charlie was a victim of a robbery and is now left with no money to feed himself. Billy is a single dad who after a long spell of unemployment is forced into seeking help from the food bank in order to feed his 4 year old son.
