Gary Ridgway is one of Americas most prolific serial killers, he was convicted of having murdered forty eight people but later confessed to having killed nearly twice that number. Although his identity was not yet known, he struck fear into the state of Washington during the 1980’s and 1990’s, where most of his victims had been prostitutes. The first five of Ridgway’s victims had been found in the Green River, hence the press dubbing him “The Green River Killer”.
