Don’t feel the need to watch any further… If you want to do a doc. on firearms and crime don’t waste your time in the UK. The States gun statistics are far more worse than the UK.
i am a 27 year old american, i lived in london for 5 years till last year…… gangs in london are just an imitation of the real things here in the states… everyone likes guns, its nothing new or hard to wrap your mind around….. guns ARE cool, i have personally fired guns and i love them 🙂 the REAL problem with gun violence lies with poverty and lack of self worth…. you see, people only act out when there trying to make others see them as something more than what they feel they really are……

Did you miss the bit where some gangs are white and the ‘white’ members talking about guns or have you suddenly become colour blind. In any case, black people are in the UK and America and they ain’t going nowhere. Live wid it. Some of the biggest gangs have made guns ‘cool’ long before young people took them up. It’s not seeing guns as cool that causes crime. It’s the attitude that using those guns to hurt other people is cool or acceptable. A gun is simply a tool. The American gun culture is made up of “rednecks” who think guns are cool and go shoot them off at the range; and they are not the ones who are committing gun crimes. The problem of gun crime is based in the malignent and destructive “hood” culture that permeates inner city communities and ghettos. The guns themselves are not to blame, nor are people who like guns. There is a large gap between thinking guns are cool, and thinking shooting someone with a gun is cool. It’s pathetic and sad that so many can’t grasp the difference.
