Hy.poth.e.sis

Hy.poth.e.sis is a documentary film that follows physics professor Steven E. Jones during a pivotal point in his life.
In 2005, Steven went public with a controversial theory regarding the collapse of the World Trade Center on 9/11. His assertion that the collapse was likely the result of pre-positioned explosives rather than the hijacked planes resulted in a backlash from the community and even threatened his standing as a professor at BYU.

Despite hate mail, threats, and even bribery to end his research, Steven refused to give in to overwhelming pressure and continued his pursuit of the truth.
For the majority of his career, Jones was known primarily to other scientists for his work on muon-catalyzed fusion. In late 2006, officials at Brigham Young University placed Jones on paid leave. He retired on October 20, 2006 with the status of Professor Emeritus.

Jones’ placement on paid leave drew criticism from the American Association of University Professors and the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. Both organizations have long been critics of BYU’s record on academic freedom.

  1. Conpiracy bull$hit.

  2. no way that amount of dust would be set off by simple collapse, concrete does not pulverize in a second and least not when you drop it out of the window… today when i watch the collapse it is so obvious

    • Why no investigation, not that farce of an inquiry that was proposed to us. How can there not be an investigation, why, why, why

  3. long time key time way of good lucky key way of life..

  4. I think we’re all missing another fine point on all of this – if the world is indeed ’round’ and spinning, then HOW could something fall straight down? I think the way this building falls gives a little cadence to the fact that the earth is indeed… FLAT.

  5. Steven Jones has hit the nail square on the head with his documentary. Its kinda strange that people would come out and threaten him for the research that he’s doing. I find that to be totally bizarre.

Some people have brought up the fact that a large airplane crashed into the Empire State building on another occasion and basically, nothing happened. It wasn’t nearly enough to bring the building down. Yet we have an untouched building falling down for no reason (#7) ?

I have seen footage (several years back) that actually showed a number of blasts going off on the corners of one of the trade center buildings just before it collapsed. At the time, I wasn’t sure what to think, but after seeing Steven Jones’ story here, I am convinced that there is/was more to this event than meets the eye.

If this is true and actually happened, someone somewhere must have either collected a lot of insurance money, or somehow stood to gain from these little known controlled demolitions.

I think Mr. Jones should approach the insurance companies that had to underwrite and pay out for the failure of these buildings. They would want to know if this was a deliberate act (and it sure looks like to me).

  6. When I watched the news on the day the two buildings collapsed I thought even then that how strange it was that the two buildings fell, and fell as they did. It made me think how on earth would a solid buildings like those just fall like that. The USA is renowned for it’s sky scrapers. They are built to last. I thought to myself there is no way that an aircraft crashing into them could cause them to collapse not a chance. They could not generate enough energy to cause that to happen. I then watched building 7 collapse and the first thing that came into my mind was that that was a demolition, no doubt in my mind at all. Nothing will ever convince me that those planes caused those buildings to fall. Who or what was behind it is something else. But I think something is going on that the American people don;t know about.

  7. If America wasn’t a religious country they would accept scientific evidence much easier. You can’t trust belief, just the facts.

    • more like, americans are too patriotic to even accept a possibility that their own government is capable of killing its own people

  8. This movie was cut off as I was watching it. I’ve seen Prof. Jones’ work in other docs. I respect his efforts in approaching this theory from a neutral position. I regret that there appears to be a giant, extremely proud and stubborn majority of people who haven’t done their own research in trying to refute this, as the more clarity that is revealed through sound and diligent work like this brings valuable information to light, including the mass belief and trust of the general public. Without Copernicus we don’t land on the moon. Without Darwin we have a 6000-year old planet. Without Jones we have a global population that will not question its own beliefs because “things are fine as long as they remain the same”. Some of man’s most awesome and ubiquitous strides forward as a species have resulted from refusal to be deterred from pursuit of the truth. It’s humbling to accept that we haven’t wholly embraced this basic fact yet, and would still rather put our heads in the sand rather than put the full weight of our collective experiences behind it. Keep up the work Prof. Jones. We’ll keep spreading the word.

  9. Who cares about the truth as long as we have a good excuse to kill Arabs.

Let’s face it, those people are way too ugly to share this wonderful Mickey mouse paradise.

    • Exactly, even though it doesn’t need to be Arabs. Communists work equally well. As long as we have perpetual war and the psychopaths like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are getting what they want, and the EXTREMELY wealthy are getting wealthier, all is well – for them. The people involved in 9/11, and the subsequent coverup are cowardly, evil little men that exist so that the righteous have something to rise up against, and we shall…again. Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.

  10. This unassuming, soft spoken, somewhat portly gentleman of a physics prof. is nothing short of inspirational. It’s men like this that should be at the head of our democracy rather than completely corrupt morons and puppets who have recently played the role of the face of our republic. The data does seem to implicate that the terrorist plot was a sham. The lack of interest in the investigation and the unrelenting push of the ‘official story’ further indicates that there was foreknowledge and even involvement on the part of some government officials. It is tragic. But it doesn’t just leave me in utter disgust of those involved. That is deeply disturbing, but there is more. I have to also ask why do we, the people, not care? How are we so easily accepting of that which is handed to us in spite of what little knowledge we do hold of our own design. I have seen both sides of this argument. Those, even the scientists, who oppose this man’s position, to my knowledge, do so without having studied the materials in question. There may never be an unquestionable conclusion but the facts all point unwaveringly in the opposite direction of the government sponsored explanation.

Our forefathers were proud of their new America because it had fought and defeated the oppressors. Theirs was a country which would be founded on the backs of free men and would be sure to maintain the ability of those free men to continue to fight any oppression, even from within, through the merit of their very freedom. That young country, a champion of its day, has grown old and cancerous. It is now dying and I posit that those forefathers would be disgusted with the type of blind ‘American’ pride so many display today in liue of good common sense. Why are we proud to be Americans? Because of what they did? It’s a good reason but we dishonor it. We must first be willing and able to do the same ourselves, which at present we simply are not. Only then we can have pride without being a mockery.

    • nope, you are wrong. it was a bunch of sand-niggers in a cave halfway around the world that pulled it all off without a hitch.

  11. America does not exist. It all cgi. If you try to fly there you hit a wall. Nobody could believe that such a retarded backward country exists. It is just the the cg generated characters are programmed to think they are self aware. All these conspiracies are generated within the computer program as a way to make it all a little bit more entertaining. If you are an American ore a conspiracy guy please spread the word among you and lets get the truth out there.

  12. I can only wonder why there are so many that accept explanations served to us rather than question, using critical thought. Prof Jones, thank you for your work and your sacrifice for the hopeful enlightenment of the masses.
