Zara Hartshorn from Rotherham, England is only 16 but she has a rare genetic disorder which she has inherited from her mother, a medical condition which makes her old before her time. Her skin is extremely loose and wrinkly which has left her looking as though she is in her 40’s.

The bullying that Zara has been faced with due to her appearance has shredded her confidence and because of this she dreams of a quick cosmetic fix. So together Zara, her mother Tracey and 17-year old sister Chloe (who does not suffer from the condition) all travel to Texas in order to have cosmetic surgery from Dr Robert Ersek and visit the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas for a proper medical evaluation.

This film follows Zara as she attempts to transform her life and fulfil her goals.
