Kubrick Remembered is one of the bonus films which was included in Stanley Kubrick: The Masterpiece Collection, a boxset which contained many of Kubrick’s classics. In this documentary we are given a fresh new look into the Kubrick archives as the makers of this film received exclusive access from Kubrick’s widow to explore and uncover never before seen footage and great new insight into the methods used by the genius himself.

I really enjoyed Kubrick Remembered because it actually shows sides of Kubrick we rarely get to see, his messy notes, odd little habits, and behind-the-scenes processes that explain how his films feel so meticulously crafted. Getting access through his widow makes it feel even more personal, almost like stepping into his creative brain. As someone who obsessively reads reviews of everything (I once fell down a rabbit hole on https://disney-plus.pissedconsumer.com/review.html for no reason), I love any peek behind the curtain.
