A License To Murder

This BBC Special is the result of 13 years of research into unrivaled access of secret papers and sources in regards to the actions of the British Army’s secret operations carried out throughout the troubles seen in Northern Ireland. The Army stands accused of helping known killers from loyalist gangs such as the UDA, target members of the IRA. The British intelligent services aimed to infiltrate loyalist gangs and provide agents with “accurate” information in regards to the identity of IRA targets, in turn directly influencing the actions of loyalist death squads.
