A Look Inside Russia’s Creepy, Innovative Internet

In Russia technology developed a world apart from Silicon Valley and that didn’t chance once the Soviet Union collapsed, over 25 years later and Russia has copied large parts of the web the rest of us know and love, they went ahead and built a Russian internet and with new laws cooked up by the Kremlin and rubber-stamped in Moscow it’s becoming more and more a souvenir internet but like everything that is souvenir it needs walls to protect it.

These virtual walls are being constructed on a daily basis and only getting bigger in size. To find out exactly how the Russian version of the internet works there is only one thing to do… take a trip to Russia.
