Louis Theroux’s latest documentary A Different Brain, saw the presenter spending time with staff and service users at the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust or BRIT, one of the UK’s largest providers of neuro-behavioural rehabilitation, in an effort to understand how individuals and their families come to terms with this life-changing condition.

In his characteristically calm and empathetic manner, Louis probes beneath the surface and asks the difficult questions. However the contrast that we experience is the most painful to watch as Louis visits the families of those who have suffered from a brain injury to get a sense of who they were “before”.
