Roald Dahl is probably best known for having written a vast collection of award winning children’s novels / short stories, most notably The BFG, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and many more. However having also been a fighter pilot during World War II, an inventor and a spy, he could be considered to be a man of many faces and his life was ofter stranger than fiction.
From crashing his plane over Africa to dabbling in Hollywood and meeting the likes of Walt Disney and President Roosevelt, this is the tale of Roald Dahl’s greatest adventures told through a vast collection of personal letters, miscellaneous writings and various archived material. In this film we learn of his real-life escapades mostly by way of his own words.
