Nightmare in Manchuria

Unit 731 was a covert biological and chemical warfare research and development unit of the Imperial Japanese Army that undertook lethal human experimentation during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945) and World War II. It was responsible for some of the most notorious war crimes carried out by Japanese personnel.

Unit 731 was the code name of an Imperial Japanese Army unit officially known as the Kempeitai Political Department and Epidemic Prevention Research Laboratory. It was initially set up under the Kempeitai military police of the Empire of Japan to develop weapons of mass destruction for potential use against Chinese, and possibly Soviet forces.

Unit 731 was based at the Pingfang district of Harbin, the largest city in the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo (now Northeast China). More than ten thousand people, from which around 600 every year were provided by the Kempeitai, were subjects of the experimentation conducted by Unit 731.

More than 95 percent of the victims who died in the camp based in Pingfang were Chinese and Korean, including both civilian and military.[3] The remaining 5 percent were South East Asians and Pacific Islanders, at the time colonies of the Empire of Japan, and a small number of the prisoners of war from the Allies of World War II.

According to the 2002 International Symposium on the Crimes of Bacteriological Warfare, the number of people killed by the Imperial Japanese Army germ warfare and human experiments is around 580,000.[5] According to other sources, the use of biological weapons researched in Unit 731’s bioweapons and chemical weapons programs resulted in possibly as many as 200,000 deaths of military personnel and civilians in China.

Unit 731 was the headquarters of many subsidiary units used by the Japanese to research biological warfare; other units included Unit 516 (Qiqihar), Unit 543 (Hailar), Unit 773 (Songo unit), Unit 100 (Changchun), Unit Ei 1644 (Nanjing), Unit 1855 (Beijing), Unit 8604 (Guangzhou), Unit 200 (Manchuria) and Unit 9420 (Singapore).

Many of the scientists involved in Unit 731 went on to prominent careers in post-war politics, academia, business, and medicine. Some were arrested by Soviet forces and tried at the Khabarovsk War Crime Trials; others surrendered to the American Forces.

On 6 May 1947, Douglas MacArthur, as Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, wrote to Washington that “additional data, possibly some statements from Ishii probably can be obtained by informing Japanese involved that information will be retained in intelligence channels and will not be employed as ‘War Crimes’ evidence.” The deal was concluded in 1948.

Because of their brutality, Unit 731’s actions have since been declared by the United Nations to have been crimes against humanity.

  1. Here we are in the 21st century, once again told to “trust the science”
“never again” 80yr previously & the Nurenburg code. History teaches us after living memory, people tend to do things again.

a good film about this is “men behind the sun” very graphic (even using some real dead bodies its been said).

  2. Cool dear

    • So Japan pretty much committed a kind of holocaust in china in its unit 731 lol….
These human experiment subjects died like worms and the japanese knew it!! Emperor Hirohito, the living god to many japanese was complicit!!! And ordered the coverup accordingly!! Lol…. Yet today, many japanese feel they are the victims because of the atomic bomb that was as a result of japanese government ignoring the ultimatum to surrender after germany surrendered!!! But what about them invading and killing millions???? Soo typical for aggressors to feel like they are the unjustly bullied victims lol….sooo sick!!!
Is not japan a place of deep respect, courtesy, politeness, honor and sacrifice??? Lol…….And when the push comes to the shove, japan just plain outright denies its history and educates its students they are the victims!!! Bwaaahhhaaaaa!!!! So not surprising LOL…..

    • Why do poor silly countries breed so much lol….like bangladesh, pakistan, vietnam, phillipines, indonesia, nigeria et cetera lol….Small land, poverty and no resources except never ending brood mare pieces of shit!!!

    • I think the whole american involvement in the vietnam war was totally stupid!! Why fight for that southeast asian pesthouse??? In the end vietnam and the neighbouring countries all fell to communism so it was all for nothing!!! Dumb america!!! Fighting for third world junks with no tangible result except discrediting itself!!!!

  3. Nowadays US & there alias funding such crime In the name of UN , WHO , World Banks with proper planing on 3rd world countries and there dumb people believe they will save the world ,,,,,,!

till they realize they r crushed under there debt created by there own system

  4. “Maybe, almost certainly, you are talking out of your ass and should stop.” Take your own advice kid. Lil ninja turtle. Pay attention in school and dont insult Americans with 9/11 crap because you’re mad at one guy who may or may not even be an American. Ignorance is bliss indeed.

  5. I remember films of American medical personnel ‘studying’ the results of their nuclear bombs. In the case of those two ‘experiments’ something like 100,000 people died at least a million were effected. If that’s not an example of America’s role as well in Evil Science then nothing is.

    • How do you explain then almost half a million people died during the japanese experiments, innocent civilians snatched from their homes!!!
Cut your BS, the japanese was just as cruel if not more!!!!

    • Funny how you didn’t mention the Nazis and Josef Mengele or Pol Pot but some how compare the bombing of Japan in retaliation to an unprovoked attack on our Navy and men while they slept aboard ship. Any smart person would want to study the effects of survivors after Japan was crushed. We had to try and be prepared for nuclear warfare on our own people and allies. That you would compare the crimes in this documentary to our war with Japan shows your ignorance. The day we grab innocent civilians and experiment on them then you can talk bad about the US. Until then you should read and learn how to argue facts instead of spewing rhetoric. Opinions are like a-holes, everybody has one. And your opinion is one in the same.

  6. This is such a good expose of those in power today and how they think of all their ‘suckers’ who vote, give attention and praise, respect and honour to. Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate which party is the more insane but i think it’s the voters, personally.

  7. How many seemingly innocent buildings, laboratories, hospitals etc. is this going on in today? All of them. Human experimentation is what ‘health care’ ‘warfare’ and ‘science’ is all about. Vivisection is best performed under a muscle relaxant to immobilise the body whilst accentuating the sensitivity to pain. Nice, silent, still tortured and conscious humans. They’ve been doing this number since Vlad the Impaler, Bathory, Alexander the great nonce, the Sparta etc etc. It’s in the breeding of natural born killers. When they get pissed with eachother (for psychopathic sodomites will never know peace) they take it out on whole nations of people and that is how and why the sado-masochistic rituals of war continue to built in momentum to this ‘climax’ – an orgy of bestiality in the killing fields. Most of the inmates in concentration camps in Germany had died from cholera, typhoid brough about by the deliberate ‘allied’ bombing of supply lines.

All this for two primary objectives: To secure a Jewish Homeland and to ensure a united Europe. Of course, the torture, rape and brutality are just the pleasurable route to genocide and depopulation.

    • It was imperative to ensure Europe united. The cost of European wars that circled the world are to costly. Twice European aggression towards their neighbors caused world wars with 25 million dead in ww2 alone. Another world war needed to be prevented at all costs. That said I dont agree with your statement that one of the objectives was to ensure a united Europe. Sorry Professor but the only reason Europe stopped fighting is because the U.S. is present on the continent in force and wont allow it. Fact.

      • What about japanese aggression towards its neighbours China, Korea( which it brutally occupied for decades) and the resulting war that caused the death of 25 million people in the pacific theatre of war??? Also the rape of nanking et cetera and this inhuman unit 731 huh???
What about millennia old China’s aggression toward its neighbours namely vietnam which it ruled for over 1000 years????
Dude, aggression towards neighbours happens everywhere!!!

  8. Science has been formed and used as the most lethal ideology (it is a religion) known to mankind and scientists are completely alienated from empathic, high reasoning ability or interests. It is used to subvert, divert and pervert all that is nature and natural and all that is life.

    • Wow!!! Science has help man advance and live longer and healthier. Science has given us so much because man needs to learn to explain the unknown. Through science many unknowns are now known facts. Go live in a cave please and stop using the computer science gave you. Such a hypocritical dipshit.

  9. So there was a ‘Hitler Lab of concentration camps in Germany, a Stalin chain of labs in Russia and another in Japan; all experimenting biowarfare and torture weapons on innocent civilians. Think of all those military labs on our land today and bases staffing international UN militia. Further bad news is that in January 2011, The Geneva Convention was basically emasculated via Israeli/London meetings. This, in order to unleash the horrors on Libyan people yet to screened in full to public …. although I’ve seen some.

    • So when ISIS lines people up and cuts off their heads that is sciences fault right? Its because of labs and concentration camps right? And yes we snap our fingers and muslims run into the streets and protest brutal regimes with the risk of torture and death. You must think the US has magical powers. Go take your meds and stop pointing fingers because you go on and on and on here because you’re nuts. Nobody will listen to you in real life so you rant here. hahaha Sad indeed!!!

  10. Definitely US sponsored research!

  11. We have been traumatised by such atrocities due to the skillful manipulation of our perceptions. Discovered common links for all elite military families and throughout the military matrix worldwide as having been groomed for purpose since birth by way of trauma-sex abuse.

Elite military corps have always been led and staffed by psychopathic sodomites/pederasts. Having been brutalised into regimented, psychotic behaviours, they are then unleashed in all their hatred upon a largely unsuspecting public. No one ruler invades another without the tacit agreement of the group consensus; that being headed by UN, CoL, DC,VatCity, Tel Aviv.

Oh and of course, the US Corp negotiated with Jap Inc for experiments on US PoW’s in Jap captivity. Mainly radiation. And the Japs were a convenient patsy for the nuclear party kick off as the fake war on ‘terrorism’ was to kick start WW3. Today, psychopathy and sodomy is prerequisite to surving military life and if anyone wants to understand what that might be like: The Pink Swastika makes an enlightening read.

Anyway, point being that this behaviour does not represent ‘man’s inhumanity to man’: it does not represent our nature. It took them thousands of years, these Warrior tribes, to get the people to fight on command or kill others of their kind. And we are all of our kind. We are seeing The Psychopathic Sodomite Elite’s hatred, jealousy, carnage and butchery of woman, nature, man. It was never any different, not since the dawn of their civilisation.

    • Still going and hoping someone will read your comments. You got nobody to talk to obviously. Bad US,, bad US,, me know all. Im an insider with inside knowledge. Hahaha I bet you think that. Lol

  12. I was just shocked to see what people are capable of. This stuff turned my stomach. Who’s falt it is is irrelevant. These crimes still happen in todays world. The world is irreversibly sick.

  13. ANd this is nothing compared to what the Chinese did to their own country.

    • What does that have to do with ANYTHING? In what way is this relevant to the subject matter of the documentary? Are you arguing that the barbaric crimes of Unit 731 weren’t so bad because, hell, look at what the Chinese have done to each other at times? Are you deliberately dismissing the importance of these events?

  14. O no i was wrong that was during 1920. Sorry if you have been offended.

  15. LOl, this is bad, but it seems kind of acceptable. Did they not find anthrax, medicine and influenza vaccine?? I dont know if this was the camp, or the german ones, but they had developed a inefficient influneza vaccine that was later perfected and save millions.

  16. hi…did u know? please help me to share this information PLEASE !

  17. maybe the natural disasters hitting japan is gods way of paying them back

  18. maybe the natural disasters hitting japan is gods way of paying them back

    • I hate that people are so fucking stupid that they draw conclusions like this…

    • Maybe 9/11 was Gods way of paying the Americans back for working closely with the Japanese who did these things, and even covering it up.

Maybe, almost certainly, you are talking out of your ass and should stop.

      • If you dont like his comment thats fine but you go on to insult all Americans with your reply showing your age or your ignorance. You do realize we were enemies in the 30’s. Yet you some how say we helped Japan. We did help Japan with a nuclear bomb and then studied their survivors. To bad we cant study your stupidity. Its one of a kind.

    • After watching all the inhuman atrocities in this documentary, you come up with that? Wow, you missed the whole fucking point, didn’t you?

Eye for an eye isn’t appropriate when civilians are concerned. Grow up.

    • Are you being facetious?

  19. Wow, and furthermore, if you hateful people out there think that those bombed in Nagasaki or Hiroshima had anything to do with the war your wrong. Something like 90% of those killed in those bombings were civilians who certainly had no say in whether japan went to war, and even though manipulated and propagandized themselves, probably still preferred peace and harmony over war and murder.

All the firebombings of Germany and Japan were thinly veiled acts of revenge taken out on innocent people. They served to only bring those innocents closer into the embrace of their evil governments. The general lie is that the bombings were to target workers and their homes but clearly it wasn’t effective and the allies knew it. They just kept on ordering bombings though… because that’s what murderers love to do.

  20. Generally a good documentary on a subject that gets far less attention than it deserves. Love the little bit or propaganda they slip in at the end there to prepare ya’ll for the Iraq war. But ya, still glaring hypocrisy as Ren Rin95 points out. The “Japs” didn’t exactly bring it upon themselves. First off, the american government goaded the japanese into war (see The Mcullom memo). Japan was aggressive and evil, but well, so was the US government (they just had to manipulate their peasantry a different way).

2nd in popular culture the general narrative is that the US gave Japan the chance to surrender before using the A bombs. That’s not exactly true. Japan put out surrender feelers, only wanting to keep the emperor in power instead of the unconditional surrender demanded by the US. The US responded by changing the wording to “unconditional surrender of the armed forces” which either emboldened the pro-war members of the Japanese high command, or confused those on the fence. Surrender feelers were sent out again, the japanese simply requesting the emperor stay in power. They were rebuffed, because well, the US gov’ment had this new toy and they wanted to see if it’d work. You can be damn sure a lot of rich politicians rejoiced those 2 days. All they had to do, was clearly state “unconditional surrender of everyone but the emperor”, whom of course MacArthur kept in power anyways…

The reality is that no governments hands are clean, they all murder and have at some point in the recent past tested biological, radioactive and chemical weapons on other people, and even their own.

    • “The reality is that no governments hands are clean, they all murder and
have at some point in the recent past tested biological, radioactive and
chemical weapons on other people, and even their own.”

Well no shit Chris. But sometimes in this life one has to pick the lesser of two evils, and I for one would pick the victors of WW2 over the losers. I shudder to think what the world would look like under the third Reich or the Japanese empire. No claims that the Allies were saints (Stalin was a monster), as you seem to imply, but they (UK + USA)  never got around to organised genocide on a industrial scale like the Axis powers did.. Feel free to moan and complain about America, but this was one war where the US actually made a stand for the good of humanity. Weigh up the balance Chris… you sound like a wannabe Chomsky  ( and I am a fan).

  21. Nothing can surpass what Japan did in Manchuria, it is beyond comprehension. For a better but more shocking and gruesome representation I recommend watching the movie Men Behind The Sun.

    • Pearl harbor was an military base, Hiroshima an Nagasaki was not. Why does always americans compare those two insidents. They could have nuke some other places then civilian citys…. Japan had alsow a big harbors in the pacifics.

      • An unprovoked attack by Japan on Pearl Harbor. They had no military
bases or targets left to bomb. So we said surrender or face annihilation. They
refused, so Bombs away. How is it fools compare this to be anything but war. Japan was told to surrender 3 times or be obliterated. Tokyo was fire bombed well before the nukes fell. More people died in Tokyo then both cities hit with nukes combined. Thats when the final surrender note was passed and rejected. They got what they deserved. Better yet they demanded it.

    • Try what America did to Japan, Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

      • You’re right, the USA has innocent blood on her hands, but they bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki more out of arrogance, selfishness and cowardliness rather than a sadistic and inhuman pleasure like that of Unit 731.

      • You’re right, the USA has innocent blood on her hands, but they bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki more out of arrogance, selfishness and cowardliness rather than a sadistic and inhuman pleasure like that of Unit 731.

        • “cowardliness” ? The war was won without needing the nukes. Yet you say cowardliness. Such ignorance in you. It was used to test it and that was mean but to say cowardliness shows your ignorance and lack of maturity. Attack a country you better win otherwise take your death and accept it. They started it and we ended it for 2 evil empires at the same time.

        • They were tired of fighting a war in which there were over 50,000,000 people killed.  The Japanese Imperial Army was quite vocal in its desire to fight till the bitter end.  The allies had already experienced that type of fight in Germany.  The Japanese demonstrated their intent by use of Kamikaze fighters.  This type of warfare was both frightening and perplexing to the Allies.  How do you defeat such an enemy?  Even after Hiroshima,  the Japanese warlords refused to surrender.  Had you been alive at the time, you would have celebrated the end of the war with everyone else.  Like everyone else you would have been expressed trepidation at the implications of such an awesome weapon.  Do not impose 21st century values and thinking on the reality of the 1940s.  We can never know the horror of that terrible time….the worst 6 years in human history.

      • The Japs brought it on themselves

    • Try what America did to Japan, Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

      • We destroyed a country that attacked us first and when they were losing badly we offered an unconditional surrender and they refused so thats war dummy. Yet you find a way to compare this. Im sure your country has been crushed by another country or a tyrant abuses the people. (Abuses You)

  22. Frightening stuff; Japan’s Mengele.
