Nikola Tesla: Master of Lightning

This amazing documentary gives long overdue recognition to a great and misunderstood man of science. The life of Nikola Tesla is an inspiring example of the power of one man to change the world with technology and revolutionary ideas. Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) was one of the most fascinating scientists of the 20th century. He invented, developed or imagined the technology that brought us electricity, remote control, neon and florescent lighting, radio transmission and much more… all the basic inventions that now connect the world with power and information. He was a brilliant and charismatic immigrant whose talent took him to the height of celebrity. He locked horns with Thomas Edison, J. Pierpont Morgan, Guglielmo Marconi, and George Westinghouse. Mark Twain praised his genius. They are all characters in this program, the very first to tell the full story of Tesla’s life and work. Like many geniuses, Tesla was not a conventional man. He gave his life to realize his visions, while others made millions with his inventions. Tragically, he died penniless and nearly forgotten.

  1. No he is not . I live two streets from his museum in Beograd , Serbia .We knew since first grade who he was

  2. Sad te our POS GOVT STOLE his papers.. They sure didnt want to give us ” free electricity “

  3. Better we shoul call him a mad genius.Only name coming in my mind who cn be compared to Tesla is Archimedas.Just like Newton Tesla also lead a very isolated life but Tesla was a unique genius in all spheres of life.Being a mystic he admired mythology and irrational thoughts-that’s why he was mostly misunderstood in his time but as he said late in his life is true”The future for which I have really done work is for mine”.Tesla was also Higly influenced by a bengali Hindu mystic and Philosopher Swami Vivekananda who brought eastern thoughts and mythology for first time in the land of west.

  4. It appears 2 me that he has 2 be the most intelligent man so far, in history.

  5. PLEASE REPOST

  6. Edison and his arrogance is absolutely dumbfounding. Can you believe someone as him would want to prohibit AC power?

  7. An incredible genius. So lets get this straight, he dreamed of beamed particle weapons, drone technology and HAARP 75 years ago!?  The US military has his papers and technology in hiding?

  8. Nikola Tesla deserves to claim the name master of lightning. So cool!!

  9. Even if this post was short, it was indeed informative and more compelling to read than other long articles with unnecessary words. I just adore Nikola Tesla for making such a very wonderful technological advancement in his time (even if it wasn’t appreciated) that is still used by most people to conserve energy and use alternatives rather than other energy sources that are costly.

  10. Great man. A pity that the world forgot him.

    • Not all the world has forgotten him, and through the power of the internet he is becoming more and more popular once again.

  11. He was born in Smiljan, Lika in Croatia. But he was Serb.

  12. He was born in Croatia.

    • He was born in Austro-Hungarian Empire, not in Croatia. Croatian state briefly existed during World War II as a fascist puppet state. In June 1991, Croatia finally became independent state for the first time after 1102AD.

Learn  our history, and don’t try to steal other nations history, we have plenty of scientists and rich history we are proud of, no need to do this embarrassing claims like this.

This history stealing trend started in the 90’s all over Balkans. It’s a bad thing for Croatian reputation and all the Croats, be proud, not loud.

      • Croatia was there long before Austro-Hungarian Empire and is still there after the “Empires” who wanted to crush it, vanished.
        Yours silent one. Without pride.
