The Return of the Black Death

With the current outbreak of the Ebola virus making it’s rounds the last thing we want to hear is word of Black Death outbreaks but back in September of 2013, the Minister of Health issued an epidemic alert of the spread of plague across Madagascar. The outbreak itself hit some of the most remote villages in Madagascar and killed dozens of people, it is rumored that it began affecting those in overpopulated prisons due to poor waste management and medical treatment. Antibiotics do exist and can effectively treat the plague but due to poor infrastructure a number of people have been stranded without care.
