  1. One word:

    Blacks

  2. It’s amazing how no one remembers (or even cares) that the officers probably have families who were worried about them. I haven’t seen a valid reason for any of the riots. Feeling bad for the youth of a nation is a lot harder when senseless violent tantrums are their method of “political movement”. And as annoyed as I am about my generation being stereotyped and belittled, this frustrates me more.
A decent video though. May not be hard-hitting, but getting someone’s perspective is always good.

  3. Would just like to say Scotland in the name our our Nation from south to north.

  4. Awesome vid. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn’t important enough to leave a comment.

  5. “why are you videoing me???!!!!”    “because you”re scum!!!!!”  best line in the whole documentery.  By the way moosemasher….very well done and i absolutly loved it. it just goes to show how a bunch of no minds can do something of this nature just because they’re bored. most of them didn’t really care why or how it started…as long as they got to throw some rocks at the police. very well documented and got some great scenes of these so called “protesters” in action.  would like to see more docs when u make them. again  “well done and all the best luck to you”

  6. The idea was good, and even though this doc displays a kind of unexperience in dealing with camera and other things (during the footage are added personal comments a bit weird ), i enjoyed as showed me something on what really happened on the streets..so it is a good work..
disagree of course completely with this kind of riots are useless and if they fight against the system, why they do steal and loot the products of the system? it seems they appreciate them

  7. The commentary dialogue on this page is fucking hilarious 🙂

  8. What a bunch of shite!!!!!

  9. love saying FULL ON much ?

  10. Well I liked it…I’m in Jamaica and this is some of the only real footage i’ve seen. Congrats dudes

  11. great doc!

  12. if a stranger told you of a ‘successful’ society where everyone had enough money, food, clothes, cars,  holidays, wide screen tv etc …. you might think it was a society that you would like to live in…….and rightly so……….until they mentioned the small matter of  ONE MILLION unemployed young people ……..

  13. Why are you people so hateful and judgmental towards each other? If someone wants to make a documentary they can make it however they want.  You “critics” should try going outside and having a life of your own instead of sitting in front of your computer and criticizing everything that isn’t up to your lofty standards.

  14. Interesting , these riots.I don’t live in the uk so did’nt follow too closely but it appeared to me that they were not rebelious at all .It seemed to be more about looting than anything else. Not anti this or anti that . I would say more in the lines of pure obedience to the capitalist philosophy . What’s important is amassing wealth . It doesn’t matter how you do it or who you fuck over as long as you come out of it a winner. This is the example set by the captains of industry and finance. We let them get away with it then act surprised and horrified when our children follow their example. Nicking a pair of trainers is a crime. Getting some poor bastard in Bangladesh or wherever to make the trainers is normal. Calling the rioters (for want of a better word) scum  is not very clever at all. If you show people how to behave, you can’t then blame them for behaving that way.

  16. excellent

  17. Ignore Chuc, he obviously has serious mental health issues and is taking it out on you.

  18. ERRRYDAY IM TROLLING TINGS TROLLING TINGS… ERRRYDAY IM TROLLING TINGS TROLLING TINGS.  /in a rap style.

  19. Here’s a little bit of insider information >>  Chuc (Me) = Moosemasher (Me)

Basically I am arguing with myself here so that this, poor excuse for a documentary, get’s more hits on the Tube of You.  Just thought I’d let you know how much of a self obsessed cock sucker I really am.  Right, back to waiting tables, “do you want the special soup, sir?”  … “it’s got seamen in it”   :/

  20. Basically, the ratings speak for themselves….

Rating: 3.3/10 (21 votes cast)   <<<  That lads, is a fucking FAIL!    Go back to waiting on tables, and serving people cold food. You're probably good at that! 🙂

  21. You clearly went to riot…

  22. You clearly went to riot…

  23. Good Documentary for being your first.. the london riots bring along many implications and a first hand view of the situation from your camera is a good start for a documentary producer.. Good luck and keep up the work.

  27. It was worth watching. It is just 2 blokes filming

  29. One of the issues the police were having was related to the high number of spectators and this video just showed two guys compounding the issue. In my opinion this was by no means a documentary, but rather just home video of two guys who wanted to check out the commotion on their streets. And Chuc, your comments are quite commical, i smell a troll or one very angry person of who is missing the point of their existence

  30. Highest estimated cost of riots: £100m.
Tax Avoidance by Vodafone: £6 Billion
Tax spent on Libyan intervention: £1 Billion
Tax avoidance in 2010 by richest people in UK: £7 Billion
Tax payers bill for banking crisis: £131 Billion
Tax money spent in Iraqi conflict: £4.5 billion
Tax money spent on Afghan conflict (up until 2007): £7 billion
Total MP expenses bill (2007): £87.6m
PEOPLE RIOT WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE THE POWERS THAT BE ARE FUCKING THEM EVERY WHICH WAY. TAKE A LOOK AT THE NUMBERS. IS IT OK FOR US TO BE ROBBED OF BILLIONS BY THE BANKERS? BUT WHEN SOME PEOPLE WEARING HOODIES STEAL SOME STUFF IT’S NOT OK? WAKE UP!

    • Violence for the sake of violence will not win the cause, Looting and setting property ablaze will only further increase the police state.  Don’t you understand that the police and entities  of the state use agents provocateurs and entrapment measures to lure the people into committing these acts?  The tyrants know exactly what they are doing in these instances, they know how to incite violence among the people and it works every time, the people fall for it every time, and it only pushes our cause back and gives the state reason to crack down harder and infringe on civil liberties…

    • You make a valid point on the broader scheme of things, and I agree.
But you argue that the cost in a matter of this magnitude is important… this is about the audacity of the vacant minded, ingrates that plague our youth, and how such a rift has come through this country. These jumped up, brain-cell sharing, kids are doing this because its FUN! Not because the ‘Powers that be’ are fucking with them.
Without society we are monkey men living in the wild.

  31. Do not bother, terrible camera work, editing, commentary, conclusion etc etc..   The lads clearly have no backround or insight into documentary making or sociology.

For the majority of the doc. they stick behind the police lines talking to the rioters less to ask them questions than to shout “scum” at them.

The import question which should be asked: how and why normative social boundaries fell apart? is never considered.

    • I’d rather ask the question why people like you so clearly far removed from the situation feel moved to act as if you have a clue why it happened.

    • Oi i said the camera was having a hard time focussing as it was so smokey, there were 5 or 6 building on fire around me, kinda hard to get a crisp shot. I had my camera tied to my wrist and shot it all handicam as i didnt want ten lads to stomp me for my camera, a BBC cameraman got put in hospital that night for his camera.

Anyone who burns their own library down is scum to me and i dont care how you view that statement. Thank you for the ‘balanced’ review

  32. THE TWO BLOKES THAT MADE THIS ARE FUCKING CUNTS & SHIT DOCUMENTARY MAKERS.

WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF AN HOUR.

DID I MENTION THEY ARE CUNTS?

    • imbecile. How about investing your words with value? Just bc you don’t like the doc doesn’t mean you have to get ENRAGED like a rioter and release all your misplaced angst and anger on the poor guy. geez..

    • Excuse me? We’re both fucking cunts & shit documentary makers, complete waste of an hour? How dare you say that, ok you didnt like it thats fair enough but to insult me personally like that? Making documentaries isnt my job, im a waiter this was my attempt at showing people what our experiences of the riots were. Do you have the balls  to go into a riot situation voluntarily?  No but you have the balls to slander a stranger on a public forum, and that my friend is an issue for the courts. Think about what you say

      • And, another thing, you plan on taking me to court because I have an opinion of you? Brilliant, you actually are the dumbest film maker I’ve ever wasted time talking to.  /slow clap

        • You are just full of sunshine arent you, where did you go when the riots came? Was your first documentary an oscar winner? No and i wasnt expecting mine to be, I dont have the money for amazing cameras, i dont have the time or money to drive to london Ive got a job to work.

Probably will get my head kicked in by Salford people, probably will but ah well I look forward to it.

Every riot outside of tottenham was just people jumping on the bandwagon ergo a death and some rumours. Seems you care less about the film and just want to start an internet argument with a stranger, I didnt make this to achieve that result; I made it to beef up my portfolio, to gain experience of documentary making, to try and get myself into a world where im not arguing with people who have nothing better to do than type slating, unbalanced reviews and insults in CAPITAL LETTERS because they dont have anything better to do.

No im not taking you to court, Im making you aware of Libel law in this country, you’ve slandered me on a public forum. You cant do that in the modern world where everythings on the record, and plus why would you want to? Im sure when the internet was invented they didnt envision strangers using it to insult each other viscerally, its the greatest communication tool humanity has ever had connecting everyone with everyone but the way you’re using it just cheapens the whole thing. Grow up shouty man

      • Why even bother making such a shit film? What were you trying to prove? Oh look at us we’ve got a camera and we’re shedding like on all the little hooligan chavs that are hell bent on destroying this fine conservative country. FUCK YOU!!!

Maybe going down to London and filming the real riots, that had an actual reason for being, and weren’t just a bunch of chavy, Reebok wearing inbreeds out to steal as much shit they could from the nearest cash converters, would have been a better idea.

You said about the riots were caused by “rumours” and one dead man, are you actually fucking serious, or just retarded?

      • YOU’RE BOTH STILL MASSIVE CUNTS.

I HOPE THE BLOKE WHO’S NUMBER PLATE YOU FLASHED UP, IN SOME SORT OF VAIN ATTEMPT TO JUSTIFY THE REASONS FOR YOU BEING THERE, FINDS YOU AND KICKS THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF YOU.

WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? SOME SORT OF VIGILANTLY WITH A FUCKING SHIT CAMERA?

JOG ON YOU WASTE OF FUCKING SKIN.

  33. Concreat Blair Wiched.
Another movie in the making Im sure.

  34. It’s hilarious how the media made such a big deal of these ‘amateur’ riots. I can only imagine what would have been made of riots such as those that occurred in Kenya during the last presidential elections in Dec 2007.

  35. Excellent work chaps , do you have a website for furthur projects etc ?
