This documentary is about Scott, a 40-year-old divorced father, his four children; Job (20), Craig (18), Heather (15) and Sam (13).
Scott has been introduced to the rave scene, and Ecstasy, by Craig. The two of them go out on the weekends, with some of Craigs friends, and stay up all night, dancing in a drug-fueled trance. Occasionally, they bring Heather and Sam along for the ride. While some Dad’s might fancy a trip to the park or to a game, Scott prefers the drug soaked night life for his precious little ones. Hes also aware of his role as a protector.
The second half revolves around his legal problems, the extremely limited, supervised custody hes grudgingly granted, and the tear-stained faces of his children, who want to see him as much as he wants to see them. Or maybe they just want to do more drugs with pop, who knows. Regardless, it makes for one of the most fascinating and controversial documentaries out there.
really bad …i think hes discusting to say the least .. we all hope our kids never touch drugs of any kind let alone condone it .. why isnt docs involved ?????
Was that English you tried to speak?
its spelled disgusting

Gelled hair, cargo pants, upside down cap. I think his son taught him that as well.
Wow. 40 year old man dresses like a 13 year old. That says enough by itself, let alone the drugs.

Chill out people, there are much worse parents out there! A lot of kids hate their parents for being too strict, I bet these kids and many of their peers think this is the coolest dad ever. And its not as uncommon as you think!
Yeah im sure they’ll think their dad is super great when they have completley fucked up their brains with that shit their “wonderfull” father is giving them.
You’re just as stupid as that pathetic excuse for a father.
By the way i speak from experience with that drug and i regret every moment of it. I will be on medication for the rest of my life because of it. Shame on you and that piece of shit father.
well just because you had a bad experience whit it doesn’t mean everyone does…some people can take drugs some better not and you are one of them.
you are not on medication from a disorder caused by mdma. let me guess, you take dilantin for epilepsy, which was probably hereditary or brought on by abusing benzos or soma. please give me one example of your mdma caused affliction and the medication you take for it. if it was honestly brought on by a pill you took than that pill was not mdma, which means you were a dummy for buying bad drugs from an unknown source.

“By the way i speak from experience with that drug”
So you “completley fucked up” YOUR brain, and yet you’re stupid enough to think we’ll give a shit about your opinion?
I thing you are taking medications for other reasons. And Ectasy that is not pure MDMA is full of shit. Just like Heroin. MDMA is a therapeutic drug, with a great potential for do good things
What condition do you have and what medication are you taking for it?
I started ecstasy at 14 and had no serious side effects other than a late graduation. I’m not condoning giving children drugs, especially a father, but whenever people get into the debate of drugs fucking brains I’ve always been on the over hyped side of the debate from my own personal experience.
Anecdotal evidence is nice and all, but the scientific fact is that your brain is in a developing state until approximately age 25 or so. Taking drugs that affect the neurotransmitters and receptors may have adverse long-term reactions in the user of said drugs. I am very happy that you show no signs of long-term damage, but please do not post anecdotes as facts. Doing so may cause the spread of misinformation.
I like to experiment because that’s just my personality. I’ve tried ecstasy, mdma, ketamine, coke, liquid x (g) but I always made sure that there was always “me” in there. I made sure not to take it overboard and had my limits. I would NEVER want my future kids trying it even though I have. I also can’t see myself partying with my dad. lol! That’s just wrong. I think there’s a time and place for everything.
so for you to make ur experience is ok but not for your kids??
Does rave parties still exist? I thought that was it was a mid- or late 90`ies phenomenon…Nevermind.
A 40 year old extremely pathetic, irresponsible dad, I must say. It`s just sad to watch this.
PATHETIC IS GIVE YOUR CHILDREN ALCOHOL OR NICOTINE. YOU KNOW THAT NICOTINE IS MORE ADDICTIVE THAN CRACK COCAINE? YOU KNOW THAT ALCOHOL IS MORE DESTRUCTIVE THAN HEROIN, CODEINE OR MORPHINE?

Certainly much better to try drugs with/from your Dad that with/from extremely sketchy people. Ecstasy was used in group therapy for years before it was made illegal. If Ecstasy helps this family express themselves to one another then who are you to judge? The father is there making sure his children are responsible and safe, which I think is better for his kids than a Dad who pretends drugs don’t exist so his kids have to go find them and take them elsewhere.
@ you and catnip…..why is it pathetic to “party” with your dad? I smoked weed with my dad once and haven’t done it since. That was 30 years ago. If Xtasy releases this family’s true feelings, then what is wrong with that? Drugs are prescribed on a daily basis for people with “psychological disorders” everyday……why not this one? Well, for one thing, the FDA has been trying hard to govern this drug and get it under control for Big Pharma to regulate and patent for their benefit. Don’t be judgmental without KNOWING the facts.
WEAKEST DAD IN THE WORLD.
People would be excused for thinking this documentary was satirical.
BaltimoreJen, the kids encourage each other to take ecstacy (including the 13 year-old), so if you call these kids great I would hate to see what you call bad.

The kids are following the lead of the Dad. Take away the drugs and look at the kids themselves. They have a good shot at a great life and a Mother who will be there to keep them on track. I would hope you can see what I’m trying to say. I have seen what drugs can do to a family living here in Baltimore, so yes, I have seen “bad”. The Dad is bad, the kids are being kids. I’ll be praying for this family. Drugs are everywhere in Baltimore and I see hope for the kids based on what I’ve seen in my city.
horrifying … and I’ve been there
horrifying … and I’ve been there
Sickening!
This is so sad. The son who graduated from the Army even goes to jail. This man should not have ANY contact with his kids and they are GREAT kids too!
Adderal is an amphetamine too. does that mean that every parent who encourages their kid to take it should never be able to see their kids again as well? you can use the adhd excuse all you want, but do you know how basic and inaccurate the test, and i use that term loosely, for adhd is? look it up online. the fact is that the man served his debt with jail, fines, and counseling. we should not punish the child for the sins of the father.

That selfish idiot’s midlife crisis was downright hard to watch!
