The war in Syria is now three years old and the likelihood of either side reaching victory is further away than ever and the actual situation on the ground in murkier than anytime seen since the war began. For the past 6 months almost no western journalists have entered rebel held Northern Syria because of the risk of kidnap by the renegade Al Qaeda offshoot, The Islamic State.
In this film View News follows a coalition of former FSA brigades as they reimposed their rule over the country’s northwestern Idlib province. What is witnessed was a brief window into a complex and morally ambiguous conflict with no end in sight.
