Ram911,… You sound like jut another ignorant, uneducated, naive right wing Christian….. You put the blinders on when you hear anything that does’;t agree whole-heartedly with the Bible. People like you are dangerous as history has proven time and time again.
People believed in crazy stories in ancient civilization because they didn’t know any better… In this day and age through science, we have the ability to vast amounts of knowledge, and those of us with brains can make decisions based on facts not fiction….. it doesn’t mean we all don’t want to believe in God or a higher power, but the fact is, Jesus may just have simply been a great man and prophet and not a God….. that scares people like you because you are weak minded and have to follow what others tell you….

How can you be weak minded if you are persecuted for being a believer? You’d think those beheaded or tortured by unbelievers would deny Christ, wouldn’t ya think they would deny Him if He were not true? Who would die for a lie? Christ died for the truth! He arose by His own power, and gives us believers the same Spirit to rise from the dead. Those without Jesus Christ do not have that power, and will stay in the grave dead until the Judgement.
I have read the passages mentioned in this documentary and I have to say this documentary makes a lot more sense than the Bible ever did. Joshua being able to destroy and conqure all those places in his life time? There are lots of untruths in the Bible. I suggest you read it again with impartially before pointing to a BOOK and saying “this can only be truth.” It’s paper. The words easily changed as they have been for centuries.

This documentary like most on PBS is a fancy distortion of science, scripture and truth. I would highly recommend that you disregard this lame documentary and read the Bible for yourself. Read the Bible with a willingness to examine the evidence impartially. You will come to know the truth only if you are willing to know the truth. And what is the Truth? The truth is that the Bible contains within itself the proof that it is true. And once you begin to see the evidence that it is true you will have to conclude that it is all true. Or you can believe that we popped up out of nowhere from nothing?

reading the bible is great advice for anyone who wants to know the truth… even a child can notice the contradictions, inconsistencies and falsehoods in the text
