9/11 Conspiracy Files: The Third Tower delves into one of mysteries surrounding Sept. 11th, a third tower at the World Trade Centre, which along with the Twin Towers, collapsed on that fateful day. But this skyscraper was never hit by a plane. This 47-story tower fell seven hours after the others and has become the subject of heated speculation and conspiracy theories largely fuelled by the internet. 9/11 was the first global event in the age of the worldwide web and it’s being used as a platform for a wide range of conspiracy theories — more than 50 at the last count — that allege that the U.S. government was somehow involved in the attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon.

  3. Pasting a reply I wrote to someone else re WTC 7 collapse and Barry Jennings:
    Building 7 was significant, as it was the storehouse of the Enron and Worldcom investigative files. Once it was destroyed, those investigations into securities fraud and insider trading were effectively halted.
    I think Building 7 was meant to be brought down at 10:45 am, but something went wrong with the detonation sequence.

    This is actually not uncommon in building demolitions. This would be a good reason behind the late collapse of 5:20 pm, as the problem had to be fixed before the demolition could continue. This explains the early collapse reports (sourced from anonymous Office of Emergency Management and New York Fire Department officials) — an attempt to normalize the abnormal.
    Indeed, there was even a “special engineer” on the scene — mentioned by Mark Loizeaux, Shyam Sunder of NIST and NYFD Fire Chief Peruggia — who estimated that Building 7 would fall in about five hours (and it appears he made this statement in between 12 and 2 o’clock). This “estimate” was likely cover for the required time to fix the error in the demolition sequence. He also made similar predictions about the North Tower collapse, in response to which someone said, “Who the fuck told you that?”
    Curiously, although the existence of this “special engineer” is corroborated with at least three credible sources, he was never subpoenaed to testify before NIST or the 9/11 Commission…so no one knows who this “special engineer” is.

    Demolishing the building early on would have a key advantage: at 10:28 am the North Tower collapsed, and the peak height of the debris cloud was double the height of Building 7. This cloud would not dissipate until a little after 11:00am. This would allow the conspirators to demolish Building 7, safely hidden in the debris cloud of the North Tower, and hence no video or photographs of its obvious demolition would exist.

    There are news reports (I think ABC) at 10:45am of a reported explosion which the news anchors could not locate. Further, a CNN report aired at 11:07 mentioned that:
    “[A]t a quarter to 11, there was another collapse or explosion following the 10:30 collapse of the second Tower. And a firefighter who rushed by us estimated that fifty stories went down. The street filled with smoke. It was like a forest fire roaring down a canyon.”

    It’s interesting to note that the ‘fifty story building’ resembles the description of Building 7, which was 47-stories tall. It was the third tallest building in the Trade Center complex, so it’s unlikely that another building could have been confused with it.

    Jeremy Baker wrote an article suggesting that the wide gash in the south side of Building 7 (of which only a few pictures exist) was caused by explosive charges. This is also consistent with the 10:45 collapse reports, as the sound of a charge sequence detonating could be described as a “forest fire roaring down a canyon”. The gash is too narrow and regular to be explained by the irregular impact from the North Tower debris.

    Another clue to an intended earlier collapse was Barry Jenning’s testimony. He was the Deputy Director of the Emergency Services Department of the New York City Housing Authority. He went into Building 7 after the first plane hit — along with Michael Hess — to meet with Mayor Guilinani in the Office of Emergency Management on the 23rd floor. He found the building evacuated, and was told in a phone call to leave the complex immediately. Shortly after that, he reported explosions, which strongly suggest the detonation of pre-weakening charges (a standard of controlled demolition) at around 9:30 a.m. He was vocal about his testimony, and it’s remarkably consistent. He died in August 2008, just two days before the release of the final NIST report on the collapse of Building 7. Suspicious, no?
    There are some who think Flight 93 was meant to hit Building 7. I don’t believe it. I think Flight 93 was part of a degenerate terror drill which bears similarities to an exercise named “Mall Strike 2001”. There are several problems with the Flight 93 – Building 7 hypothesis. I can go into detail later, as this post is stretching on…

    But I’ll leave you with this, and some further reading. The Twin Towers were targets in the sense that they were hit by airplanes. Then there would be another target — less obvious — that’s brushed off as “collateral damage”, AKA Building 7…but was in fact a real “target” all along, just not in the conventional sense of a direct attack. I don’t think 7’s collapse was meant to attract attention, but an error in the demolition sequence meant it did.

  5. That witness is key. The staircase and elevator shafts are the strongest parts of a building and you need to blow them first before the building can collapse. He explained that the stairs suddenly collapsed so that speaks a lot for a controlled demo.

  6. Thermite? Really? You can’t say it was explosives, then switch in thermite when that is shown to be implausible. Yes thermite could melt steel, but it doesn’t create the “explosion” sounds that are claimed…

  9. on this note watch when the tower 7 fell …the bottom floors was falling first or the upper floors would not pass the top of the other buildings as it went down …at 48 and so on ……i agree with him… America is no longer with the people …and America cant lie to the people ?????check with LAW enforcement …..they can lie to get you to confess

WAKE up people, totally orchestrated by the government, all 3 buildings went down with controlled demolition, all evidence removed before investigators moved in, pentagon also blown up, No evidence remained that a plane hit it, NIST report so full of holes Swiss cheese makers would be proud. 3000 people sacrificed to gain public backing of an unjust war and excuse to establish headquarters in the oil rich co-ordinates of the world. Hard to believe this is the case I know when your instinct is to trust those who you rely on to protect you, but these are facts. It has happened in history before but not so disgustingly blatant in your face on the world stage, due to media control. Terrorism??? bullshit…. US leaders etc are the real terrorists… 

  11. Who benefits, an ancient Roman maxim of investigation, or follow the money, when viewed about the 911 debate, shows it is clearly not the truther’s who gain anything. It is the government who gained totalitarian legislation eliminating Constitutional protections, and a pretext to gain control over oil resources in Iraq and access to the Kazakastan oil. The wars were impossible without the 911 attack. Freedom got nothing to do with this, ask the 1 million dead Iraq’s about this freedom. If you think this is bad, wait until the dollar falls.

  12. i wonder if anyone has ever thought about why building 7 was not targeted by an airplane also. i have my own idea of why this was it is my belief that all the aircraft involved with the 9/11 incident were being remotely flown 3 of those supposed planes reached their targets but the 4th plane i believe was meant to hit building 7 somehow the electronic device being used to fly it malfunctioned so the plane was brought down using an air to air missile fired from a usaf jet therefore the plan that this plane would hit building 7 had to be rearranged to enable preset bombs in building 7 to be detonated following a number of small fires in this building which a fire dept like new yorks im sure would have been more than able to bring under control especially after 7 hours im sure that with all the resources available to the fire dept on that day they could have saved this building if so instructed to im sorry but every incident on 9/11 was clouded in controversy from 4 hijacked planes flying around america unchallenged for 2 hours to 3 high rise towers falling at freefall speed to flight 93 supposedly crashing in shanksville without trace of wreckage or bodies to plane 146 feet wide crashing into pentagon leaving a hole about 5 metres wide thats 16 feet unbelievable
    there needs to be a new independent impartial international investigation into the events of 9/11

And this has been bugging me since I last posted:  I’m not dishonoring anyone with my beliefs.  Everyone who died on that day was murdered.  I’m not saying that those who died faked it, I’m saying that the official story has a lot of holes that should have – but were not – covered by the 9/11 Commission.  I mean no disrespect to anyone who lost their lives or loved ones.  I just don’t think I’m getting the truth.

Wow, I am admittedly a conspiracy-leaning person but that moment when they’re reporting the collapse of WTC-7 when its standing in the background…I don’t accept the “faulty reporting” explanation.  WAY too coincidental.  I believe Cheney allowed this to happen but didn’t expect the towers to collapse.  WTC-7 might be a huge smoking gun.  Hell, I don’t know.  I just don’t trust anything anymore.

  15. Silverstein didn’t own the building, he was leasing it.  Why do they call him the owner?  He says he was called by the Fire Department.  The head of the FD says no….And they wonder why people have trouble believing the official story.
    Yeah, I’m only about 20 minutes into it…The makers seem to be trying to be fair and show both sides, but they raise questions, state the official story, and act like that’s that.  I’ll keep watching….

    The US Government, according to the US Government, is too incompetent to keep a secret.  That’s a hell of a defense!  So I guess Oswald DID have magic bullets.  I’m honestly trying to believe the official story, but official statements are making this difficult….

    Not mentioned:
    Evidence was destroyed as quickly as possible, the 9/11 comission — with Michael Shermer no less! — was only allowed access to official information, and ordered not to look into anything else.  Silverstein made Seven Billion Dollars on a one and a half Million investment; Bush used Americans’ emotions to lead us into a pointless, illegal war; and Americans have lost many of our freedoms.

    If there is no conspiracy, the Government seems to have gone out of its way to make it look like one.

  21. personally the truth movements focus on the way the buildings collapsed has been over exaggerated and is very easy to debunk, because nothing that happened after the planes, yes planes, struck the buildings, was part of the conspiracy. its the events that led to those planes hitting the buildings that needed to be examined, and they have been. the more compelling evidences for the reasons behind the attacks were never caught on shaky camera footage with screams and booms in the background. in fact, the people behind the attacks are probably tickled pretty that most truthers focus only on the actual calamity. any time you have that amount of energy released in that short an amount of time, unexpected, anomalous things are bound to happen. S

  23. Excellent documentary. From 9/11 until about early 2007, I was a “truther”. But from that point on, my opinions slowly changed. I realised it was easy to find anomalies spread throughout the official story – not because there was a conspiracy – but simply because the government had had to piece the story together as well – as we all did. I slowly became aware that there was no overarching, comprehensive theory regarding a conspiracy to be found. Just various, disconnected anomalies that took some time to find explanations for. And those explanations have materialised over time. I remember how ridiculous the conspiracies were at the beginning – like all the media companies had simultaneously edited footage to fake the video of the aeroplane collisions etc. And slowly but surely, the conspiracy theorists were forced to retreat to new ideas – one after the other.

    These days, they are almost all entirely refuted. Mostly due to the tireless work of unbiased truth seekers (certainly not “truthers” – whose ONLY goal is to find a better way to level accusations of conspiracy – which is not a serious search for unbiased truth). I do salute many of the “truthers” – as they have put forth a series of anomalies that have created an environment for the evolution of the truth through detailed investigation. 

    But in the greatest majority of cases, I have found the remaining truthers to be extremely hostile people. The reason for this is because they are the kind of people whose ego does not allow them to be wrong. Regardless of facts and the more reasonable probabilities presented, they will doggedly cling to their belief (hope) that 9/11 was an inside job. This is due to psychology. Like all people, they feel like they are not entirely in control of their lives. In the false paradigm of modern society, they have been led to believe that this somehow reflects upon who they are – a failure (this is of course untrue). So to compensate for this, they are forced to believe that the reason they are not entirely in control of their lives, is because the “government” (or “they”) are actively suppressing them in evil ways. They hope it is a conspiracy, because then they can validate themselves.

    When the fact is this – you are not entirely in control of your lives for two reasons: 1) You are not exerting enough effort to take control of your life, and 2) Control of your life is impossible, anyway.

    I know this – because I had to move through it myself. I am proud to be able to change my opinion on fundamental truths, using my intellect and reason. I am proud to have achieved this, because to do so, I had to fight the psychology of my worst enemy – myself.

I sympathize with the Truthers … where are the answers to the serious questions that have been raised over the years?  Answers need to be given by disinterested individuals…not those whose careers depend on what comes out of their mouths.  I’d like to see a Truther look at all the evidence and turn around to support the “official version” of what happened, but I won’t hold my breath.  I don’t think we will ever know.  Next?
